Does this ever happen to anyone else when they try to have a conversation with a head mate </3
This doesn’t really happen they just sorta disappear instead of answering

Ancient guy on the internet!
I’m a fictive alter of Ahkemrah from the NATM series! You can call me Ahk or Ahkmen too. I made my own blog so I don’t keep clogging up the systems blog with my stuff. I’m out somewhat often and I’d love to find other NATM fictives out there to talk to. People are welcome to ask questions and such :) I’m forever 20-23ish but the body is 23 and if you really want to get technical I’m like 3000-ish.
I’ve been around since we were a kid, because NATM was THE sleepover movie for our host Astro. They watched it all the time and I showed up to hold onto a certain set of memories. But it’s been so long now I’ve kind of developed into my own thing and I’m around more often.
I like history (obviously), mythology, cats, summer, tea, jewellery making and drawing. And if things go well and we get into university I’ll be helping Astro with an ancient history degree!
And yes, I can confirm Jedtavius is canon. I was it in my exomems therefore it’s real.
The main system blog and all the other alters blogs (that have them) are listed on the pinned post over there: @strawberryeyebags
I think that’s it for my introduction, link to the system carrd is in bio! Contains DNI, BYF etc.
I have this conversation often
What I am taking away from my time in Baldur's Gate 3 is that I would be willing to do almost anything if I got a head mate out of the deal.
Does my headmate or any of my 3 girlfriends disagree? (Shadowheart, Lae'zel, or my beloved Minthara) Sorry. I can't do it.
I was always kinda open to the idea of turning into a Mind Flayer if I have things that let me do it on my terms and I am not forced to be evil.
But giving me a voice in my head has me EXCITED! Gimme more psychic buddies. I want to share everything I feel. I wanna show you everything I have seen through my eyes and experience whatever it is you wanna show me.
I do like being a monstrous race though. That is definitely a plus. Just maintaining my agency is important.
Ok I’m literally learning about DID and alter and stuff JUST now because of MoonKnight and beg y’all forgiveness if I say something wrong but I saw a post about wondering who the “host” was in the system and I think it’s Steven because he has a Mom that he calls and talks to
Like unless Marc set up something VeRY elaborate to keep Steven “safe” from trauma, to me that says that Steven “came first”
Detragender
A system member whose gender identity does not match with the body's gender identity or their AGAB. The opposite of afficgender.

Not to be salty but, people making DID & OSDD; having head mates/alters into some fantasy tale of exciting and cool stuff... Yeah it sure is exciting, sometimes having to have a whole "family meeting" about what I want to eat. Having memory gaps & finding myself from a random city in clothes I don't recognize, with people I don't know. Sometimes having to figure out if I remember any of my own family members. Suddenly, *almost* being a six-year old who needs to tell a story to anyone, real bad! Or to play with a plushie! But the body is in an unsafe environment for a six year old so --- I have to tell a six year old repeatedly, that they can't be themselves (which is also *physically* super uncomfortable). Randomly rising up trauma feelings, which trigger a panic attack, while I am incapable of actually realizing what I'm remembering. There are some really beautiful parts of it too, though. I am never alone, not really. I have a "family", who have gotten me this far, protecting me, and who I am learning to love - while with their help also learning to love myself. The moments when that same six-year old is allowed to be themselves, and I later find a drawing or a note that has stickers on it, and some excited handwriting (which is slowly getting better). But if anyone ever tells me "I wish I had DID/OSDD you guys are so lucky to have each other"..... I might slap a bitch.
