RIP Remus Lupin you would've loved singing "if I see one more cybertruck I swear to God I'm gonna floor it"
An aspect of The Great Divide (the album) that I feel is not discussed enough is the discussion of bigotry and hatred that drives people away from their communities. I mean, the entire song The Great Divide seems to be about someone who was gay but was abused by those around them who were Christian, and Headed North mentions people being bigoted towards others despite their performative activism (having the pride flag in their windows or the Coexist sticker on their car). I'd love to have more discussions about how this ties into the album's themes, as I find it very interesting and compelling.
