I believe I have been taking on and absorbing other sources and it has been contributing to my development overtime.

This struck me right as Justin has been quite absorbed with developing further his Ravenseye story and lore, which means finding new bands and musicians to draw from. Recently we stumbled across Avantasia, which certainly has an abundance of Ravenseye imagery.

Shortly after this, I started to feel more connected to my identity than ever before. And after tonight, I have come to the conclusion that I must be absorbing and taking on these other artists' works as sources.

This most recent addition has pushed me quite far into my head, I must say. The clarity of mind with which I can think is truly astounding, but at the same time I am not nearly as easily grounded as I was before. Again, I look forward to acquiring some new clothes.

I still consider Another Perfect Storm to be my primary source, but now I know I must have others. I wonder what they are? Hm.

A suffix referring to how or why a specific alter formed, view themself as having formed, and/or are viewed by others in-system, in their system. For example 'Stressformed', would refer to an alter that formed because another alter(s) or the (sub)system as a whole was under stress.

They can also have to do with the alter's feeling about why they exist. For example, an Introject who died in source may consider themself to have been reborn into the system, and as such consider themself 'rebirthformed' ,or similar.

-splitformed

We know that some systems use the term split to refer to any time an alter formed in the system. However we use to specifically refer to new alters that split from already know alters in the system, this often will result in something of the original alter being taken to the new one. I will be using split how we(my system) typically use it, in this post. Example 'griefsplitformed'(shorted to griefsplit) would be an alter that split because of, to deal with, and/or to hold, another alter's grief.

-fuseformed

This would refer to an alter that formed as they are now do to the fusion of alters. For an example 'fearfuseformed'(shorted to fearfused) would be an alter that formed by fusion because of fear.

-wakeformed

An alter the come out of dormancy, and they leaving dormancy is seen as formation for any reason. For example 'ragewakeformed'(shorted to ragewaked) would be an alter that come of dormancy because rage, in a way that is viewed as formation.

-nowPCformed

An alter the formed from a NPC. For example traumanowPCformed(shorted to traumanowPC), would be a NPC that became an alter because, someone in the system/the system went through a new traumatic event or was reminded of past traumas.

All of these suffixes can also be used in combination with role term, in reference to alter that formed for a specific role regardless if they still are that role or not. For example protectorformed is an alter that was originally formed to be a protector, they may or may not still be one.

This was with complex dissociative disorder systems who don't like using "-genic" to describe individual alters(cough cough us) in mind

Not all systems function in the same way. Many systems may find that, for whatever reason, they split or form new headmates and alters easily! Splitting new system members often is nothing to be ashamed about, and systems who split easily deserve to be accepted and celebrated in our spaces. So here’s to all the systems who split easily!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with splitting new headmates often and easily. It’s okay to have lots of headmates or alters, and to gain them regularly with little to no outside influence! If your system regularly splits new members, we want to remind you that each and every headmate in your system is still special, unique, and wonderful in their own ways, and your system as a whole is beautiful just the way it is!

I remember, when I first gained my current form in the system, I was decently undeveloped. That is, I would go with whatever was required of me to help. I'll eat what we typically eat. I will wear whatever is available to me. I do still utilize this strategy if I see a benefit in doing so; a caretaker must do what they must do, I suppose.

But as I've aged and spent more time in front, encouraged to pursue self-development here in this curious mortal state, I have dicovered marked preferences about myself, the likes of which clash with the system at large, and what is often available to me. Now, as our caretaker I am responsible for the whole Self and not my own person alone. I do not expect every fronter to get on board with the idea of eating broccoli, other vegetables, grilled chicken and fish every other night. It would certainly frighten our father if we started eating like that; goodness, he is shaken to his core every time I want something different from the drive-through! He was terrified when we started eating cheeseburgers that weren't void of toppings!

Yes, it's a good thing that I keep everyone in mind as caretaker. But as I grow and know myself, and the more distinct I become, the more I yearn to express myself as thoroughly as I can when I am in the front. I want to eat the foods I prefer. I want to wear the clothes that make me feel the most like myself. I have become downright dysphoric about my clothing; I have so few articles that make me feel like myself, and I simply cannot sit about the house or go about in a t-shirt or a hoodie and jeans. It is not petty preference; clothing is a must for me. I am more prone to blurriess and fading in and out of the front when I am not wearing at least one item of preferred clothing.

On top of that, my emotional state suffers terribly. And like a young person longs for the days of their youth I do sometimes wish I could return to that new-born state of mind when things were simpler and I did not know myself quite so well. Oh, to be a listless fragment. But, I know this is a sign of significant progress in my development. I shall acquire some clothing to help me feel more like myself more often once we get the funding to do so. :) And I should like to eat some fish that day too.
