Have any of you ever struggled with acne? . ME TOO! I have had acne for 10 years! The first several years I had cystic acne on my back and my face. It was a challenge for self love - to learn how to take care of myself with the love and respect I deserve. . In the beginning, I went to see doctors for my skin and hormonal imbalances and every time they’d send me home with a prescription and would tell me diet and lifestyle had nothing to do with my health issues. Now, I I used to get pissed off at them but then I learned that they weren’t trained in diet and nutrition, so they didn’t know this truth themselves. I took it into my own hands to heal my body, to pursue healthier lifestyle choices, diet, and hygienic practices. . Changing my external lifestyle helped tremendously but it wasn’t until I learned to love my acne and what it taught be - that it started to fade away. Going vegan and gluten free and quitting the use of any facial products were the steps I needed to take for self love and self care. . To hear more about my acne journey and how I overcame it, find the link in my bio to my YouTube channel @adventuresacross. I’m SO grateful for my acne journey, (and this guy @sandersonwellness for joining me, even though he didn’t have to 😘) and how it taught me how to love myself 🥰. .
