I don't like March Eridan. It was a funny joke in the fandom and a cool design for fanarts, but because of March Eridan, for some reason the fandom is now convinced that Eridan is a trans woman and estrogen will fix her. Am I against a headcanon of a trans woman Eridan? No. Am I against fans not verifying information from the comics and trusting TikTok/Twitter opinions? Absolutely.

(and no i’m not defending him for that because that was obviously screwed up and so was the entire basis for his crush on her) somebody already made a great piece on tumblr about this that’s probably better then anything i could say and im also not feeling like formatting an entire essay here to describe all my thoughts (sorry. although maybe you would want a shorter response) so that’s all i’ll say. one extra comment is that the people who say equius disgusts them, or that he’s irredeemable, whatever, but then go on to defend VRISKA really bug me. seriously? they treat him like a fucking monster when all he is a 13 year old kid groomed into thinking horse-fucking posters are “fine art”. he is THE HEIR OF VOID. his entire persistence on the hemospectrum is because he feels like without it, he’s nothing! he’s built up as being this creepy character through his whole intro, and then we see with his interactions with nepeta, even if he can be overbearing he genuinely cares for her and wants her to be safe. and in that sense (finding really messed up shit on the internet and normalizing it, and feeling like i’m worth nothing, and sometimes feeling like a total weirdo creep) i relate to him. so it hurts to see people treat him like nothing but a monster. okay guess i wrote a lot anyways…sorry about that. anyways, main point, EQUIUS IS GREAT AND HES ONE OF THE BEST TROLLS !!!

i want to clarify if i hadn't in my previous confession to avoid submitting a long paragraph, i seriously don't care if people enjoy mainstream stuff or if others need to enjoy the same thing as neurodivergent people. they quite literally don't have to. if you don't like said media they find interest in, it's fine. it only becomes a problem when people start being incredibly rude to them over having hyperfixations or special interests in a context that isn't a joking matter but rather serious.
