On what to do with Terry Pratchett.

OK SO. I've got Terry Pratchett quotes screaming at me every time I open Tumblr. And I have been meaning to read all his books (lofty goals but I am loftier) simply because I know some people are absolute fanatics and that's something I need to be part of. (Also the quotes were astonishingly good, is the rest of the book like this?). Anyhow, my question being: WHICH BOOK FIRST 😭

I know Colour of Magic is first in the Discworld series but apparently he himself didn't recommend reading it first??? What do I do now??
