If the Gods remained in the crypts of those who worshipped them the skies would not change, the wind would not whip through the grasses and the rain would not calm the land.
The Gods are ancient yes but they are anything but dead.

Hi loves!
As you may or may not have noticed, I have rebranded! I am now @reaching-for-roses, formerly known as @serenityinthestorm.
The name Serene, as well as my previous username serenityinthestorm just wasn't quite fitting any more. Serene was a name I gave myself years ago when I was on a totally different spiritual path.
Now, on my new path, I have chosen Rose instead. Not only am I obsessed with roses aesthetically but roses were the first sign I got from Aphrodite which ended up leading me to the spiritual path I'm on now with Hellenism.
For me, reaching for roses is not only a symbol referencing my beginning with Hellenic Polytheism but also a reminder to search for the beauty in life; the positivity.
I want to thank my amazing friend @mythical-manda for the name idea! She is brilliant and lovely.
I also wanna take this time to thank all of my amazing followers! Thank you for reading and engaging with my posts. I appreciate it more than you know! Love you all! ❤
Hey everyone! I hope you're all staying safe tonight as I know there can be many intoxicated drivers during the holidays. I pray Hermes watch over you and yours and keeps you all safe on your travels regardless of how far.

somehow the gods always make a return or they were always here because in my years of exploring all these different belief and magical systems, it all comes back to Hermes and Hekate!
Hermes came to me when I finished high school, and that was when I was learning about independence and having adventures in life. not being boring and having fun. and also such a great inspiration as i began my undergraduate studies in communication
over time the connection to helpol and hermes faded. I always kept him in mind, had his imagery around, kept my blog name the very same (yes, hats off to Hermes indeed!)
one of the key things i've found in my worship of the gods is how i wish to worship them because of the values they embody. i continue to carry everything Hermes has taught me with me, from how my life has changed to even the foundations of hellenic polytheism when i first learnt about it
now we're here, a few years later.
Hekate entered my life in 2021, after my birthday. Or maybe she'd been around longer than that
I look back to the post I made years ago wondering if Hekate was around due to what I noticed. At the time I felt young and intimidated of worshipping her.
Now I am still young and intimidated but at least more ready to be devoted to her — in that she has become part of my primary practice.
The time I have spent with Hekate so far has been incredible. Truly she is an inspiring goddess of change and confidence. I could not imagine a better goddess to worship at this time of my life. In that, I truly appreciate the psychopomps in my life. The lovely Hekate and the winged Hermes.
Maybe that means I'll be more inspired to write on this blog, even for a little while longer once again
Welcome to hats-off-to-hermes!
about me
Hey there, I'm Q (they/them). I've been through a range of beliefs and practices over the last five years and I keep this blog as a way to join communities and share my thoughts and resources.
I practice classical angel work, hellenic polytheism, and witchcraft, and these are topics I post about.
I am a devotee of Hekate and a huge fan of Hermes (my first deity <3). I also keep the archangels in my heart and tend to statues and devotionals of them.
Previously I've posted about green witchcraft, sea witchcraft, catholicism, and everyday witchcraft. While these are things I've posted about, this doesn't necessarily mean I still identify with them. This blog is years old.
I'm open to asks about any point of my religious and spiritual journey; I even encourage it.
