Oh, speed reading ilm? Pure hyperfixation and nothing else. The one thing my ADHD brain will let me focus on for a long period of time is reading I like. It sucks because I have to do a second pass to actually absorb some of it? But most of it sticks. Just the little things I rush over. It's hard for me to catch symbolism especially the first time thru until I go back and look. But yeah! I speedrun fics simply by sheer will. God nerfed me but not hard enough >:)
