One of the reasons I love collecting Helmut Lang is because they did seemingly endless variations and reworks of his signature styles. There's always another strange version of a piece that I haven't seen before. . The asymmetric 3 pocket 'trucker' jacket from S/S 1997 is by far the rarest HL denim design, possibly because it is one of the weirdest. Stores back then didn't seem keen to invest in the label's more unconventional menswear. As a result, most of the few examples of this design seen nowadays are samples. . Helmut Lang offered it in denim and military sateen, a sturdy cotton fabric with a subtle shine. There are at least five versions in this fabric alone - and here are two exceptionally rare examples. The left has bronze nickel buttons and the shoulder is finished with a silver cock ring. The right has silver buttons and the 1997's iconic stripe applications in soft cotton voile. Both are one-offs as far as I know, but there may be a couple more out there since Helmut Lang used multiple showrooms at the time. The search continues.. . #endyma #helmutlang #helmutlangjeans #helmutlangarchive (at ENDYMA) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFuyd19gfPs/?igshid=1hue8d0kc4mn3
