ok i forgot to take a pic before i inhaled the first one and ate half of the second - the sopes from pupusas express is just divine. crispy fried masa that holds a healthy schmear of beans, so much grilled chicken pieces that they practically spill over, chopped tomatoes, lettuce, cotija cheese, mild tomatillo sauce, jalapeño sauce, creamy avocado slices, a squeeze of lime. fulfilling and very economical too (less than 4 bucks each).

oh and their pupusas are great too but right now i am loving their sopes.

the new yu noodles in herndon is just as tasty as the fairfax location.

we love the refreshing desserts - we should have shared since they were such generous servings! the ever so slightly pickled gold cabbage was slightly sweet and still crunchy which worked so well with the savory spicy chili oil wontons and the delicate soup dumplings. the scallion pancakes were slightly overfried but still yummy.

i am hopeful that this new restaurant will get popular - i noticed the other tables ordering food to go (which i think is a really good sign). the gent next to me got some roast duck for his da and was gushing about the food and how economical they were (everything 4 to 13 bucks with the average being roughly 9 bucks). he told me that he told his friends to check it out.

Young Child Dies On School Bus in Herndon | Boisterous laughter usually fill a bus ride but not this one. A sad incident happened last Thursday in Herndon, VA. A young boy died on a Fairfax County Public School bus in the 2300 block of Dulles Station Blvd. The boy had a medical emergency while he was riding the school bus. It was reported that no other kids were boarding the bus at this time. Fire and Rescue responded and performed lifesaving measures to save the boy but he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. As of this moment, there are no further details available regarding the incident.
