Heisenberg knew he fucked up. No, he had royally fucked up. His dull grey-blue eyes glanced around, looking at the mess in the main hall of Castle Dimitrescu. He lost count of how many things were broken and grew overwhelmed by all the bodily fluids and gunk that littered the rich walls of Alcina's dwelling.
"K-Karl, I think it was wrong to bring me here." Moreau muttered, his large body shuddering as he coughed and hacked more bile onto the carpet.
Heisenberg made a face, jumping back and away from Moreau. He watched as the acid from the pitiful creature's stomach ate away at the carpet.
"You told me it wasn't going to be that fucking bad!" Heisenberg hollered as he gripped tightly to his hammer. If he had half a mind, he would have smashed Moreau's brains out then and there.
"This is me shedding on a good day! Besides, I had a lot of cheese!" Moreau protested. He whimpered like a little kid who had been caught doing something horrible, and now was awaiting his parents to discipline him.
Karl growled, then pinched his nose. He had smelled many horrible things in life but this by far took the cake.
"Jesus and this would have been a great prank too!" Heisenberg shouted. "Alcina is a clean freak despite her blood orgies. Having her come back to ruin and get her hands dirty for once in her fucking life is one thing, but this--damn it, we screwed the pooch!"
Moreau's bottom lip trembled as he looked around, trying to find solace in the whole prank gone wrong. Thanks to his Cadou, he had times of the month where he would shed and remove toxins from his body. Most times it wasn't this explosive. He could feel shame creeping down his bent spine.
"Maybe we can clean it up?" He suggested.
Heisenberg looked at Moreau as if he was the dumbest person on the entire planet. A scoff left his throat as he gestured at the broken windows and carpet that had been destroyed.
“Okay, but they are gonna be so pissed when they see what we did to this place.” Heisenberg sighed, shaking his head as he puffed out his cheeks then out another deep breath.
"We just--say we're sorry?" Moreau offered.
Heisenberg blinked, looking at Moreau with pity.
"You should have been shot when your parents had sex to have you." Karl muttered.

Cosa sappiamo della realtà ? L’universo senza di noi sarebbe stato lo stesso? La materia esiste a prescindere da tutto o tutto esiste perchè è in interazione con il resto?
In verità sono dubbi irrisolti, ma in questa lezione Rovelli cerca almeno di portarci a capire a che punto siamo con gli studi e come dobbiamo guardare alle cose e all’universo.
La questione è che nemmeno Einstein ne era molto convinto.

Ogni volta che leggo queste cose di fisica o esistenza, (del resto cosa c’è di diverso?) a me vengono i brividi, ho proprio la pelle d’oca, sarei voluta essere Einstein, Maiorana, Fermi, sarei voluta essere Gauss o Bohr, Darwin, immaginatevi nelle loro menti e ditemi se tutto il tormento che avevano dentro non ne è valso la pena.
Secondo voi queste son cose per cui vale la pena vivere e domandare o se stiamo bene così a scorrere senza chiedere.

Resident evil Village- Crystals and why theyre important.

THE FUCK ARE THE CRYSTALS?
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
Maybe I can answer? Or at the very least, throw out some theories and shit for people to enjoy
All this contains spoilers for the whole game as well as a lot of talk about the lords of the village.
Ok so we know from in game texts that when molded people die, their cells
Calcify and turn into a crystal/crystal quartz. Usually they crumble into nothing, like marguerite baker or eveline at the end of the game. However given that the end of zoe dlc is canon, we know that A) this process can be done on people who are still alive and B) This process is potentially reversible.
So if you look at Zoe in the dlc, she's frozen in crystal as a punishment by Evie, not fully but enough to be unconscious and imobile. Evie does this remotely as punishment for trying to escape her, she doesn't need to see or touch Zoe to do this. Her uncle has to get her “serum” which breaks down the crystals and lets her move again. None of this cures the mold in her body, it’s very likely she’ll be like mia; needing treatment for the mold or having small amounts of mold in her body for the rest of her life. But regardless, Zoe lives, now Something akin to Jill Valentine in re3 and 5. Jill is infected with the t-virus and given a vaccine by Carlos, but this doesn't actually cure her completely. The whole reason re5 even happened was because jill had trace amounts of t-virus in her body ( that wesker then used to make his uroboros stronger and so on).Despite 3 years of medicine, mia still has mold in her; we know this because Rose has mold in her and because miranda was using mia for her mold experiments. She couldnt do that if mia was cured completely
I should stop beating around the bush and get to the point of why I'm even mentioning this. My theory is that if you were able to get the crystalised remains of a mold infected person, you could potentially bring them back to life using serum or something similar.
Now, before you go spitting at me for reaching, hear me out. We know from both Miranda's research and from the BSAA’s field notes that the mutamycte “catalogs” memories of those in the village infected with the mold. In a room adjacent to a large strand of mold, quite close to where you learn Miranda is after some sort of “data” ( later suggested to be Eva’s memories to implant in rose) there is a cave filled with crystals that Ethan can shoot down from the roof and take. This close to the section where karl tells you to exit via a mausoleum, in a graveyard with presumably a lot of dead bodies. Could this cave be the remains of villagers long since dead ? been there so long theyve calcified? Could the mold have Stored them there like some sort of people library?
Before anyone says this is nonsense, know this. Rosemary was crystalised and put into containers. Once her parts were reunited and she was bathed in mold, she was able to come back. Could the same not work for the crystal fragments of the lords and alcinas daughters? They have very large crystal remains, alcina leaves almost her entire body behind as a crystal, much like zoe. If you were to expose these remains to serum to decalcify them and let the mold do its healing thing, could people be revived?
I dont think it's TOO far fetched to say you could put memories in crystal. The crystal resembles quartz, which has the ability to hold an electric charge. Theoretically if it was a particularly special quartz, it could hold the electric impulses from a person's brain when they think and form memories. It's not TOO far out of the reach of science fiction.
This isn't even taking into account the cadou. Yes, it could be a memory thing but It seems to me that it's sort of a signal booster or relay hub for the mold. It could potentially send information to and from the main mold body under the village, explaining why/ how the mold catalogs people without having to touch them like it did with Miranda. For example, On a smaller scale, Donna uses her parasite to spread her powers out over her dolls, but the central parasite is in her face/brain. Or at least, that's the implication. Miranda's diary states she spread her cadou over many dolls, not cadou(s) as in many parasites, just the one. Meaning all the dolls are a part of her singular parasite and thus part of the network for the mold, similar to the mutamycte and its network of villagers , lycans and other infected.
I know I don't have much canon proof. This is mostly me speculating and it’s unlikely we’ll ever get confirmation, even in dlc form.
BUT.
It’s my theory that Ethan is carrying around the cadou parasites in crystals, not just the crystal remains, which means he is not only carrying around their bodies but also potentially their memories, which is all that would be needed to revive the person, should the right conditions be met.
We very clearly see enemies crumble to dust when they die, it would be hard to bring someone back from that. However in the case of the lords, parts are left, much larger amounts of dry mold than the rest of the enemies, with the exception of Donna.
However her real parasite could be in Angie, who survives the fight and is something we can carry with us. Same with Alcina, we see her being fed the parasite by Miranda in one of her journals, meaning her parasite is in her chest. What part of her remains do we take with us?
Ah yes, her torso with a large hole where the heart should be. It works with the others too:
The girls' torsos have similar holes or voids that could easily hold a parasite.
Miranda's diary mentions moreau developing fish parts, notes that his brain has grown into his spite and out his back. Where are all his fish parts and most likely his parasite? On his back, with the eyes. Which is what we carry with us.
Karl is exactly the same, his remains look like organs, possibly intestines or even a brain and spine. Karl is specifically noted to have gained electric organs from being infected with a Cadou, so it makes sense his crystal remains contain parts of his organs but not his flesh or bones.
If you still don't believe me, this works for smaller enemies too. Karl notes in his experiment music box ( can be listened to in the operation room) that he has removed the heart of the person he is experimenting on and replaced it with a Cadou. This creates the soldat eins and soldat zwei ; do you wanna guess what they drop when they die? Crystal metal hearts.
Side note i think the complex mechanical crystal heart from the Strum is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen and i want one for my living room.
Again, no solid proof and a lot of speculation/ reading between the lines on my part. But there has to be some solid reason why we get these remains, aside from treasures. They have lore and flavor text attached, they can't just be pretty baubles with nothing behind them.
All of this really begs the question though.
What does the duke want with them?
He himself states that he can feel “lord heisenberg's essence” through the crystal. Does he know something we don't?
Right, I've rambled enough. I have more to say about what a dick miranda is but that will have to wait till i can get my screenshots from the ps4 so
