March 3rd, 2026: Congratulations are in order for Kyoto's newest maiko! Hidetowa (秀十和) of Masamiya (雅美家) in Pontocho is celebrating her misedashi! She is the first debut for her district this year and is now the sixth active maiko at the prosperous Masamiya okiya! While she is debuting without an official onesan, she has many okiya onesan to look up to!
