1. Endings

I would like to dedicate my first post to my friend Berina, because she asked me to write. So, here goes!

It's been said that endings are only beginnings. If that’s true, then the winter of January when I was so content to bear torment and conceal the contents of my heart that caused me to fret, might well be called the beginning (of the beginning) of my current journey. 

In the words of Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica (set to gorgeous music by Giacomo Puccini): 'Sometimes hope must be taken.' 

So I took my hope and ended all that I had believed would last forever. Its fragrant and vibrant blooms withered and decayed; unending spring melted into summer and with it all its empty promises.

Another stunner of a day😍😍😍 still a polar vortexing chilly wind but not like 2 days ago. The 🌞 was shining and I might have tanned my nose some more 😃😃 So what do I take on a longer ride? I 💘 my @axiomgear Seymour Oceanweave Podpack because I can load it with essentials instead of my pockets ... and it's still sort of aero lol If I need it handy on a ride, my Podpack keeps it right on front of me.  Inside today: my beloved @hornbyorganic (Pumpkin Fudge today ... oohhh sooo tasty 💯), my "heroin for cyclists" aka @xactnutrition Fruit2 Maple flavour, a tube of @nuunhydration tabs, a @clifbar, #highc energy gel, USB battery and cable for my phone and devices and two plastic baggies ... one with a few dollars in it. There's still room for my keys and a little more! The country roads were pretty quiet .. usually just me and the tractors! But I still wear all my high-viz yellow so the cars see me! Checked out the new @cycle.life location opening soon in downtown Port Perry! Can't wait .. it looks pretty cool 😎😎 already!
