03/10/26 - Charlotte-Amalie, St. Thomas - THE 99 STEPS - What a beautiful day to be in such a beautiful place: the Capitol of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It was about a 30 minute walk from the pier into town along the waterfront. It’s like we’re in the middle of a postcard no matter which direction we look. Higher is better when it comes to views so of course we walked up the famous 99 Steps on our way to lunch at Blackbeard’s Castle. After a restful time there, we took a taxi up a winding road to the top of the island for a banana daiquiri and even more amazing views. We had fun even though we were doing the usual cruise ship tourist thing. Hard to believe that this little island gets 1.5 million cruise ship passengers a year. The thing we will remember most is the sheer beauty of this place.

Higher is better|| Self- Para

After Sophia's job offer Whitney called the agent and agreed to one photo shoot to see how she felt about it all. How it felt to be in the spotlight, to feel pretty, to have other people call her hot or whatever word they used. Whitney was never a girl that felt pretty or was the first choice to be asked out on a date or as simple as a lab partner. She knew the pressure was on and that she had to be the best. Smoking weed wasn't strong enough for her, it only made her numb and giggly but she needed confident and pleasure with what she was doing. 

One phone call, that was all it took her to get what she wanted. She locked herself in the bathroom, of the place where the photo shoot was taking place, and looked at herself in the mirror. A skater girl with pretty hair and good clothe was all she saw, but she needed to be a woman and feel like one, too. Without thinking it twice, she took out a dollar and spread a bit of white powder on the table that were supposed to hold the magazines. She made three lines and rolled the dollar, slowly taking a sniff of the first one. She coughed a bit and threw her head back, not really like the first sensation. She took a deep breath and licked her lips before taking the second sniff. Her eyes screw shut and she shook her head to get used to the feeling of powder in her system. She looked at herself in the mirror once more, before taking the third sniff. This time her eyes opened widely and the powder went gently through her nostrils. 

After few seconds of her eyes closed, she opened them again feeling a bit different. She cleaned everything up and got dressed in what she was told. Walking out of the bathroom, she had her head up, back straight and her makeup done. She gave a wide smile to her agent, before placing her where she was going and telling her what she had to do. The fan hitting her face, the bright lights in her face and the little clothe she had on wasn't a problem for her, right now. She gave a few posses and started to get playful with every prop they handed to her. When the photo shoot was over Whitney went into the bathroom and changed into her normal clothe. Coming out from the lady's room, the modeling agent came to her and congrats her on her work of the day. She was great and maybe this job didn't suck as much as she thought it would be. She felt pretty and confident, everything she ever wanted. Finally she was their first choice.
