The struggle is too real. I’m so far behind on uni applications, general homework and schoolwork, and now mental health is creeping up again. I don’t know if I’ll be posting again. I might take a break. so if I don’t post I’m taking a break to catch up on school and trying to save my mental health.
After a rather long break from posting I am back. School started last week and I have been drowning in homework already from every single subject. I thought it quite fitting to do some updates now. Before summer I set myself some goals so here I am going to evaluate: 1) start driving - I have started my driving lessons and I have more booked ✅ 2) find a part time job - I have not done this but I have started writing a cv which I find incredibly difficult ❌ 3) learn more about music (drums and singing) - I have learnt a lot about reading music and I am alright at playing drums and guitar. I know more about singing but I don't think I have improved ✅ 4) get a drum kit and lessons - I do now share ownership to a drum kit but I do not take lessons but YouTube lessons are available ✅ 5) go to the fob concert - seeing as it is 2 days away and I don't have tickets this won't be happening. Time and money weren't on my side for this one ❌ So there is my goal evaluation and I did 3/5 which is more than I ever thought I'd achieve. I also did many other fun and productive things over the summer. Some extra facts about me and school: I am in 6th of high school in Scotland and I take AH Maths, AH German, H Spanish, H French, and elective Mandarin. I'm also hopefully teaching German to primary kids once or twice a week and also helping with children in my high school to read better. I am currently booking open days to several universities that I'd like to apply to. At uni I would like to study German and Maths and/or Spanish and/or French. I would like to apply to St. Andrews uni, uni of Edinburgh, uni of Aberdeen, and Heriot watt uni. I think I will start the 100 days of productivity challenge again soon. There is a rather long post of stuff about me so feel free to ask any questions if you have any :)
Hope all my fellow Scottish studyblrs are happy with their results today! I know it's hard but exam results are NOT everything and they don't matter that much. I did shit in my opinion although it does just meet the very minimum for one uni course that I could do but it's not great and it's definitely not safe. Ugh idk hope you all are happy and did well!!
