At my highschool the drama 3+4s thought it would be fun to try and take the tech safety test which is a solid 4 or so pages long, and they got to take it open note so it should have been relatively easy right? Apparently not, because one senior thought you needed chemical protection to apply cosmetics. Chemical protection. Cosmetics.
