Hanahaki AU

Basically it's Hanahaki AU but kinda different because Harry suffers from abstractly unrequited parental love.

First from the Dursley's (from which he quickly became deatched, causing the illness to be mostly symptom-less) then after Sirius's death it returns but like really really badly as now it's unrequired since Sirius is dead.

Obviously Harry doesn't really tell anybody because since the cure is the person loving you back and we can't raise Sirius from the dead he believes he will die soon and wants his friends to remember him happy and healthy, not miserable and dying

Dumbledore figures it out because he's not an idiot. So does Hermione but she is at a loss on what to do and writes Remus to come back to help Harry but gets no answer so she just tries to support Harry as much as she can wothout giving it away that she knows even though it's breaking her heart.

Dumbledore is making plans which he doesn't feel necessary to share with anyone (he believes the connection must be genuine).

And sets Snape to figure this out to the joy of NO ONE.

BAM EVENTUAL SEVERITUS OR HARRY DYING BECAUSE HE CANNOT BELIEVE THAT SNAPE WOULD CARE FOR HIM. BAM!

Golden trio puppy pile. Them one on top of the other constantly. Harry's head on Hermione's lap, his legs going over Ron's, or any other combination.

Them so softly in love. Hermione calling them "her boys", Harry calling them "his family", Ron calling them "his people". I just love them so much.

Harry and Hermione kissing early in the morning, Ron making a lil teasing comment about being jealous and both of them say something along the lines of "you can join us you know."

Ron and Harry play fighting as Hermione watches, telling another person that she would never be so childish, only for the two of them to drag her into it jokingly and for her to openly go along with it.

Ron braiding Hermione's hair for her late at night as they talk, Harry walks in blearily from a nightmare. He's scared he's intruding but immediately they both beckon him to them. Hermione gets him to sit in her lap as Ron continues braiding.

The three of them just having a relaxing day off. Harrys with his shirt off and Ron gets the bright idea to draw on his back. Hermione and Ron both mark him as theirs.

I like imagining that Ron knows Gaelic and Hermione knows Haitian Creole because of their families. They all learn each other's languages, with Hermione and Ron learning Parseltongue for Harry.

Just- just them in love guys. Them being each other's entire world.

Hc that after Fred asks out Harry he’s writing/passing notes to Hermione telling her about what happened and Ron looks over one of their shoulders or intercepts one of them and just looks over at Harry and is like “MY BROTHER?!?” in the middle of class and everyone’s just staring at Ron like …wtf
