( &–– [chae]won my heart )
it’s odd. he had brushed it off as a coincidence at first, these flowers left randomly by the flower shop and then by the entrance of the store and then at places around yongdam he’d usually hang around on his break. ten has never been very observant, the only thing he ever really truly paid attention to was the growth of his flowers and the small garden at his home.
but the flowers –– these odd bunches that would come as though specifically delivered for him brought about some kind of curiosity. firstly –– what. and secondly –– why him? he was nowhere near special, if anything he was perhaps one of the most average of boys that he knew. and yet here he was, receiving flowers from a stranger (not that he minded though, he kept these flowers well).
it had come to a point where he couldn’t simply stay admiring these flowers, instead too built up on curiosity to let this case rest. instead he’d thought up a plan, one that he was sure wouldn’t fail.
he’d left for work slightly earlier than usual, biking his way from marigold to yongdam through his usual route. perhaps it’s a little silly (quite silly actually) but he hides behind the counter, squatted down with his head resting against the wall. i’ll find them today, he tells himself, i’ll find this flower... thief... this opposite thief...
and so he sits in silence, eyes glued onto the door and determined. but then he yawns, and a yawn evolves into a large sigh and suddenly his eyelids feel a little too heavy to keep open even if for this opposite thief. he licks at his bottom lip, body going slump before he completely forgets the reason he’d even come this early in the first place.
