TBH i feel like this raises a lot of other questions like. if we go with the logic that no, gods don’t need food, and that they don’t feel hunger, we either have to assume that a) their bodies are wired completely differently from humans and therefore their bodies wouldn’t end up NEEDING many bodily processes, thus rendering half their oRGANS obsolete, hypothetically, or b) the body heals itself so quickly in the absence of food that it doesn’t suffer the effects of starvation even though technically its there.

however

if its EITHER of these options, then i seriously question a gods’ ability to get drunk, which is something you see happening in the myths. if the body heals fast enough to outweigh the effects of starvation, then it would metabolize alcohol so quickly to combat the negative affects of alcohol on the system, and a god couldn’t feel a buzz. or - if gods don’t need food, why would they NEED a stomach???  how could they drink at all?

basically i think gods need food, its just that a lack of food won’t kill them
