Boys in dresses. Boys in skirts. Eating out a boy in either of these. You agree.
I had to
When you see me wearing a baggy t-shirt or hoodie, just know that I have nothing underneath
Hi! First ask ever so idk if I’m doing this right (sorry if I’m not). Thought that a distraction may still be wanted so here I am?
Honestly I’m just thinking about how Bruce would hate the nickname of ‘son’ from anyone except Thomas. Whether their relationship was rocky or not, whether Thomas was an asshole parent or the best, most doting father, it doesn’t matter. Son is an exclusive term from his father, and he will not be accepting mentors, old people or anyone else try to call him that. At galas or even by Clark’s father, it just feels wrong no matter how kind the intention is
This can extend to how Alfred wouldn’t allow Bruce to call him dad even by accident, lecturing that he is not Bruce’s parent and never would be, contributing to Bruce developing that distaste for fraudulent father figures.
In contrast, I think that he’d use ‘son’ as a nickname for his children, (‘daughter’ doesn’t roll off the tongue as easy, sorry Cass,) but only in emotional situations. I think some of the children may interpret this as Bruce trying to keep them on a leash, trying to leverage his status as guardian/adoptive father/etc against them in high tension situations, but it’s all just Bruce being worried, angry or even desperate for them to listen to him. I think Damian even eventually begins to dislike that nickname, after the others explain their issues with it.
Bruce only tends to use it under these emotion heavy convos, sometimes with pride, but often in negative situations where some of his children (*cough* especially dick in his rebellion era *cough* and Jason at any point *cough*) will instinctively answer with “don’t call me son” Hamilton style in anger. Until one day Damian is the one to say that to Bruce.
I wonder how he’d react, honestly no clue lol <3 I just think that there’s a lot of potential with Bruce and the nicknames for his children.
@carmelitacreep no. 39 xx
Bruce's hackles raising in response to being called son is delectable, something that never changes, Thomas is his father, you're not good enough to call him that.
Especially with all the daddy issues being raised by Alfred gave him...
This reminded me instantly of an old fic idea I had, so I just dug it out of my notes, and copied it over
Do I think the kids would actually act like this? No! Damian? No! But I do think it would be a fun fic to explore just how deeply those little digs over time build and build.
the idea of there being limited oxygen in an oxygen tank and being such an out of breath air hogging mess that you run through them like cans of whipped cream… don’t you know they’re in limited supply, piggy? with all this co2 your lazy ass is pumping into the air every time you order delivery? every time you squeeze yourself into your gas guzzling car to hit a round of drive-thrus? gasping for air, wheezing like a proper pig even with the damn oxygen tank, it’s a wonder you’re still able to breathe at all with all that fat you’re packing.
