Do you have any headcanons for Midna, Saria or Ruto?

i actually wrote a whole fic about Saria with a role in Twilight Princess, but now that you ask, i don’t have any specific headcanons about these characters... i’m much more of a world-builder than a character-builder, so if you asked me if i had headcanons about the kokiri, whooo boy. i’d have a lot to tell you.

but actually...

thinking about it tho; i consider Saria to be the first of the Kokiri to have accepted Link’s presence in the village, and she was the catalyst for all the other Kokiri’s acceptance too. she’s also startlingly stubborn and refuses to back down in an argument, and is fiercely protective of her kin. she’s the type that will play decoy if the others need to escape from danger—maybe she even has a small self-sacrificial streak. she’s also the one who breaks through prejudices any Kokiri have about the Skull Kids in the lost woods, and the Skull Kids reaaally like her since she made a song that they love a lot (i have like a whole thing about the forest denizens tbh). also her fairy’s name is Mao! who she commonly calls ‘Mao-Mao’

Midna is a really chill ruler but if there’s one thing she won’t stand for, it’s traitors—and she’s really harsh on them to the point of is-this-ethical treatment lmao. like send-them-to-a-labor-camp-until-they-work-themselves-to-death treatment. she honestly tries to rule fair and just but sometimes toes out of the realm of ‘is this really ok’ and thus surrounds herself with advisors who can reign her in. she doesn’t want to be tyrannical like Zant was and mistreat her people, and she wants them to be safe, above all. she’s also a fighter, and when she wants something, she’ll go down swinging for it.

Midna has nightmares about being trapped in her imp form, and also failing the Twilight Realm to the point where it’s left to ruins. sometimes she’ll stare at herself for really long times in the mirror to make sure her body is its true form and not the cursed one, and even if she is back in her true form, sometimes it just doesn’t feel... right, and she actually deals with body dysmorphia on the regular.

she really misses Link and Zelda and often thinks about her choice to destroy the Twilight Mirror, and sometimes regrets it even though she thinks it was ultimately the right thing to do. she puts on a brave face about this but is never without a dull ache deep in her chest. it’s something she knows she’ll carry around for the rest of her life

Ruto has no gender preference when it comes to finding mates. what she Really wants is someone who will see her as an equal rather than 1) treat her like a princess on a pedestal or 2) treat her like a fragile doll. she won’t stand for anyone belittling her or inflating her status—she’s just like the rest of her people and while she enjoys the finer things in life (who doesn’t???) it doesn’t make her alien or something different. she actually develops crushes/falls in love easily and tends to want to spoil the object of her affection a whole lot, which can be... a bit overwhelming for said object of affection, although she definitely knows how to take ‘no’ for an answer and is firm that if her affections aren’t returned, she should be told so

Ruto frequently argues with royal advisors because they’re all stuffy-gilled old fish who are stuck in their ways and think what was once good for all the Zora is still good, but she has dreams for her people, and she refuses to let any of them be tied down by tradition. she’s especially fierce when her father tries to coax her because she isn’t a child anymore and refuses to be seen as one.

Lord Jabu-Jabu is Ruto’s secret-keeper, and she tells him everything because of course, he can’t really communicate it to anyone else. he probably knows more about Ruto than anyone else in existence.

Ruto is also really athletic like she’s the best and fastest swimmer the Zora have ever seen, eating records like Majora eats Termina, and she loves a good challenge or obstacle course, she hasn’t seen one she couldn’t beat yet. if someone else is trying to court her, she often challenges them to a race, and if they fail by a big enough margin, she’ll reject them lol she’s a bit petty tbh

in the case of Ruto and Saria+their roles as Sages, i always sort of thought Sages felt this draw to their respective temples, like the spirit(s) of the temple themselves speak out to them and try to coax them, have them feel like the temple is where they belong. it’s sort of a long-fought constant battle to resist the call because it’s one that basically wants the Sage to abandon who they are as people to become like... apart of the temple. the temple needs a Sage because the temple is the like the brain of the realm it presides over. it needs energy to function and while it lends its powers to its Sage, it also needs a Sage to survive. it’s kind of??? parasitic almost? but also mutually beneficial IF the Sage is actually willing to take up the role, which they often do for the sake of the ones they love

They met again

They met again after 5 years at the Christmas Reunion/Wedding Anniversary of Yoongi and Taehyung and all of the memories he tried to erase hit him like a KTX train.

It’s been 5 years since they end the journey of BTS after a long 15 years of being on Top and called as “Kpop Legends” getting all the recognitions and awards they deserved in and outside Korea.

Jungkook is late once again, receiving all the glares from his hyung’s who called and message him to be on time.

When he went to take his seat he saw a man in front of him looking at him with full of sadness in his eyes, who once to be the brightest for Jungkook.

“Appa!” all of them look at the girl running towards the guy in front of him, that is when he remembered everything.

He remember how he saw his own boyfriend for 12 years in bed with someone they called “noona”.

He remembered how he begs and kneeled down in front of him saying it was just a “Drunk Sex” and he never cheat on him.

He remembers how that “noona” says they’ve been in a relationship for 3yrs that time.

He remembers how he became so dumb and forgive him.

He remembers how she gave him the pregnancy test that ruined everything.

They broke up, he left the group after and went back to school to take special classes for Photography.

Bangtan changed and end their long time career as a group.

Namjoon and Jin starts their own careers in US after their official marriage, Namjoon became solo artist and Jin became a Hollywood actor.

Yoongi became the famous Music Producer and proposed to Taehyung who became GUCCI model with a lifetime contract.

Hoseok focus on being a famous rapper and soon starts teaching choreography to his juniors.

Jimin became a Dad and works as choreographer in BigHit.

Jungkook live alone and travel all around the world to take pictures, sell it, collect it and soon he is not the “BTS Golden Maknae Jeon Jungkook” anymore.

He is now the Famous Jeon from JKPhotograps a photography company he owned.

Now, he is there again the reason for everything that happens with the main reason why he left and start a new life.

Jimin beg him to stay when the party ends, he doesn’t want to but when his hyung’s asked him too he can’t say no.

Jimin explained everything from the very beginning.

How “she” threatened him when he said no with words like “BTS are all Gay do you think even if you’re all famous now people will accept you? Think of it Jimin do you want to ruin their careers, how about your precious bunny?”.

How he almost want to kill himself for cheating.

How he claimed a little girl as his own that did not came from his own blood.

How he regrets everything he did.

How he regrets hurting the only person who accepts him for who he is and love him so much.

How he wants that second chance.

That “noona” left him with the same reason he did to Jungkook, left him with a beautiful baby girl named “Park Somi”.

Jungkook listened very well, process all the things he heard.

Wondering if it’s true of another lie.

He look at the little girl seated at the man’s lap, who is looking at him too and then smiled.

“She doesn’t look like him” he thought.

Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, Tae and Hoseok understand everything and forgive Jimin with a bone crushing hug hoping that the maknae will find it in his heart too.

He did.

He forgive him.

Of course he did.

And he will.

He gives that “Second Chance” Jimin asked even when they were already at thirties.

Jimin says “I Love You”

Jungkook respond with “I Love You Too” and kissed him in front of Somi, his hyung’s and other guest who still at the party.

After all this years, their feelings for each other did not change.

No it did, it became much stronger.

They got back together, hard at first but soon they were okay again.

Jungkook proposed to Jimin on a Christmas Eve after a year and celebrate their First Christmas as a Family.

They starts to live together as a family.

They travel together when they can and show the world to “Somi”.

People accepted them, they live in peace and full of love for each other.

They promised to stay together as long as they can and want. They even promised to follow each other after death who ever go first.

“Park Somi” became “Jeon Somi”.
