December is flying by, but we've actually been pretty on top of our holiday activities this year! We've already gone to see holiday lights, sent out holiday cards to friends and family, decorated ornaments and cookies with our nieces and my in-laws, finished up our holiday shopping and gift wrapping, made Christmas cookies twice this week, and then this weekend we are going to do gingerbread houses and early presents with our nieces and their grandfather (followed by more presents and family all of next weekend 😅).

Luckily, the scheduling worked out so that we'll have Christmas Day to ourselves, in our own home, which gives us some time to decompress and reconnect after a hectic holiday season ❤️ Also my husband and I tried really hard to hide our gifts for each other this year, so I'm sure there will be a lot of fun surprises and laughs lol ⛄️

some lovely morning light, quite rare in winter. one of the things I really want to change this year is something I feel lots of us struggle with: how much and when to allow myself phone use. the morning is probably my most vulnerable time – I love to scroll in bed with my coffee which can leave me feeling groggy and unmotivated to start the day.

since the start of the year I’ve set new time limits on my phone so I can’t over-scroll and I committed to using an alarm clock instead of a phone alarm, which means I can leave my phone as far away from my bed as possible. it’s a small thing but it makes such a difference & is a change I am enjoying immensely :-)

Quackity returning to his boys after a while and instead of it being just him he has also returned with a tall anxious half-ender child who hes teaming up with to kill god :)

Kind of proud of myself for killing he wasp nest and various other creepy crawlies that had taken up residence in my window pane. NOW THEYRE ALL DEADDDDD! The window is still gross, so still working on cleaning it. Ew. Why is South Carolina so dirty?
