I can’t believe this, but I actually have the confidence now to say that I can officially do backgrounds.

I’m guesstimating one more page to go before I can drop this complex shading! YES! Very much looking forward to that! But before that, I need to quickly learn how to draw Bismuth and Rose lmao. Expect doodles at some point :P

I’m sorry this took so long. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon, and I can make these more often. 

Thinking about doing one-offs on Ao3, including future scenes and experimental pieces. If that’s something you’d wanna see, let me know! I’ll probably do it anyway, but I wanna know how many people would be interested haha. Y’know, more content, I suppose. Idk.

I’m not dead! :D

SO! I decided to redesign Spinel a bit. I’m going to do a few more forms as well, but for now, this is her Homeworld/Lost/War designs! She gets poofed 3 times during the war, resulting in 3 War forms lol. The one in the middle I might swap with the one on the end, I’m not sure yet. Just creates better flow that way, I guess. idk lol.

I also want to make her a 1700’s form, 1920’s/30’s, and 1950’s. Her current form is something she’d take during the 70’s, then just keep. Because Spinels are super hard to poof. There are two definite ways of doing that (minus advanced gem tech or Yellow Diamond), but I will not reveal those yet. ;) One of which is canon, so you all already know about it, but the other is fanon on my part.

Her scythe stayed the same, so I didn’t bother redrawing it ^^;

As for her expressions and poses, those should help place her mentality and/or a recent event in her life that has affected her. Can you guess what they were? Only one (/two depending on how you look at it) Spinel(s) is reflecting an event whereas the others are just out there living her best life lol.
