Emmanellain & Honoroit Hatching Tide 2025

They're here! I always hope for them to be included with every new event, and in this year's Hatching Tide they make an appearance ^^

Is it just me or does Emmenallein look incredibly dapper in that outfit? And Honoroit looks adorable. I'm not sure what it is, but he looks younger and a lot more childlike in this outfit. (Which I entirely approve of - the boy deserves to have an actual childhood.)

actually the fortemps family dynamic (icipher and aymeric are the adopted kids, estinien is the stray that arrives unannounced sometimes)

icipher and aymeric are the culinarians who like to experiment in the kitchen, the fortemps are pretty traditional but open minded to new things sometimes, meanwhile since estinien lived in thavnair for a while he thinks he's an expert on everything thavnairian and acts like a dick about it

“Th-they were all in the water, shouting at each other and throwing mud and-and rocks and-”

“Who were?”

“The bloody birdmen, that’s who!” Emmanellain took a breath. “I was just trying to find a spring crystal for Laniaitte, like she had asked, when they spied me and attacked, I swear!”

“And how did you become separated from Kitali?”

“W-we were having a contest,” he said sullenly.

“No, you were having a contest,” Kitali corrected. “I never agreed to it.”

Haurchefant forestalled any further input from her with a raise of his hand.

“So you were following orders given to you by Ser Laniaitte, and just so happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time,” Haurchefant summarised. “A stroke of bad luck.”

“Yes, that–yes, quite. Quite unfortunate timing, is all.”

“I see. Well, we are all of us still alive. Let us take solace in that most simple of blessings.”

Emmanellain nodded rapidly, grateful to be out from under his brother’s scrutiny. Honoroit was hovering anxiously at the edge of the conversation and rushed in as soon as Haurchefant had made his exit. He approached Kitali’s side where she was looking out over the edge of the Enterprise.

“And how fare you, my friend?” he asked.

“I’m fine. I was never in any danger.”

“And is that cause that I should not worry over you all the same?” he teased. “You have fulfilled your promise to keep my brother safe, and for that you have my thanks.”

Kitali shot Emmanellain a glare from across the ship. “He wasn’t making it easy.”

Haurchefant sighed deeply. “Yes, he certainly has a habit of doing that.”

Usually right on the forefront of gathering information of questionable veracity, Emmanellain hears a rumour that catches him off guard.

Honoroit was trying to tell poor Emmanellain that Cessalie and Artoirel had big news to share, but he was too surprised by the rumour he'd picked up completely independently from the Ishgardian contingent returning from Ala Mhigo to listen.
