Hooked Rug, 1935-45, Canada.
My chicken rug! I think it's a sussex hen? I don't really know my chicken breeds...
It's about 18 by 18 inches with a loop in the back to hang like a tapestry. Burlap and (mostly) acrylic yarn (with a few mystery yarns I got secondhand). About a week's work with my punch needle!

Rowlet is completely finished now! This is my first real rug-hooking project & I love how the back looks with the twill-tape binding. There are definitely some mistakes but I'm happy with how it came together ❤️
