“Late Night with the Devil” feels like the spiritual sequel to “NOPE”. In both movies, the issue seems to be spectacle.

“NOPE” was about people’s obsession with watching spectacle and the lengths they’ll go to capture it. Anytime you look up to watch the spectacle - the monster - you die. And other characters died from their pursuit of the monster.

“Late Night with the Devil” was about how the desire for spectacle makes us ignore common sense and safety. Jack Delroy could’ve stopped the show, but because he saw the potential for ratings, he kept the show going. And it didn’t help that the audience kept wanting more and more, despite how dangerous the show was getting.

If we get one more horror movie about this subject, maybe we can call it the Spectacle Trilogy. Or the Curiosity Killed The Cat trilogy.

GUSY NEW DREAM UNLOCKED

Chat I again saw a crazy ass dream today morning and it felt SO real like I first thought I was watching a reel like yk those horror movie reels but then I realised I was actually dreaming and the dream legit felt like a movie

Slight tw: blood mentioned, dead body

So what happened is that there was this couple who had shifted to their new home with their son. The couple wasn't Indian amd they lived in most probably London ig? Cuz the design of their house was very similar to that of 22B Baker Street.

So in the starting the father is calling his best friend and swearing at him ok. Like he's yelling at his bestfriend and saying something like “you taught my son so now he's doing this”

And the best friend — who is in wheelchair btw — is kinda annoyed because the father has called him before as well, and he basically denies it saying he didn't teach anything to the son and he is innocent and they both kinda argue over that but it's minor

Ans then again the scene shifts and the mother is now called the best friend's wife and telling her that you two both have done something my son won't stop talking about that and they also kinda argue

And then the scene shifts to them all in the living room of the new house and arguing but then the best friend and his wife leaves so the argument ended shortly

Then the shift again shifts to another day or maybe the same day idk tbh but so now the mother and the son are at home and we get to know what's all the fuss about

So their house have 27 stairs leading to the top floor. But the son keeps singing a tume counting the stairs and he's always counting till 28 stairs and talking about “Flower's room” that's directly next to the top of the stairs.

This concerns his parents cuz there is no room near the stairs top neither is there anyone named Flower in the house

So back to present day, the mom gets kinda tired and curious and decided to check for herself

So she starts to climb the stairs while singing the same tune and looking at her feet and then she reaches the top so she sees that there's actually 28 stairs and a room next to it.

She get's really shocked and kinda dumbfounded cuz the room and the extra stair was ofcourse not their before.

And then she notices the door knob of the room and the door knob has a small pink centre and yellow petaled flower on it like some children's room design

So she calls out to the room saying things like “knock knock” “Flower are you in there?” and “can I come inside Flower?” and atp even she is shocked because she doesn't know who is flower

But the door unlocks from the inside and she opens the door to go inside and what she sews shocks her to the core.

Inside on the ceiling there's a dead body like the deadbbody is sticking to the ceiling by it's back. And surprisingly the dead body is a ditto copy of her. Like it's as if she herself is sticking to the ceiling dead with blood on her head.

But the dead body's eyes are wide open and have a sinister smile grinning directly at the mother. And even the clothes the deadbody is wearing is totally similar to what she is wearing likw purple jumper and khakhi trousers

And then she looks down at the floor so in the floor there's a dead body of a little girl and she is in a white tunic and a knife is stabbing her in the chest and so the girl's body is lying on the pool of blood. But she's also with that similar opened wide eyes on her face

Both the dead bodies don't even look old or rotten it's as if they had just been killed and put there

Then the moment gets some sudden flash of unknown memories of this girl Flower (who atp y'all know is the one lying on the floor dead) in the same white tunic but she has no idea who is Flower so she wonders

Who is Flower?

And then I woke up lol 😭 the alarm went off and I woke up to fall back asleep for some more minutes before waking up again to go to school ToT

But that was the dream lmao and it felt so real as if I was watching a legit movie and then something interesting also happened

When I was telling my gf this story in a voice note she said when I got to the part where I was saying who is Flower she said she heard somw other sound in the background.

So I checked and yes some time of sound like of a wind chime or someone whistling was in the recording. Exactly when I asked who is Flower. And it was so weird lol since I was alone in the room... 💀🤌
