I'm gonna ramble for a minute 

At how easy it could have gone the other way. Okay make life on earth a constant fight, but for a second when they showed us heaven with Dean, it could have been a party, a true win. Bobby said “the heaven you deserve”, no fights no barriers, just you and what make you happy

That was the queue to give the audience, US, “the ending we deserve” 

And we know by text that they knew what we loved about the show, that at the end family is around you, no matter if you re related by blood. We liked the connections they made along the way. How easy could have been show a mildly restless Dean getting to spent an afternoon with his friends and family, those moments of peace we loved in the show, the seemed calm between the storm,  and then after Sam lived his life...just meeting with his brother in the forsaken bridge. And heading back together because no party is complete without both Winchesters, right?

I, personally, wanted the peace to know that when everything is said and done, we get to do more of what we loved. With all the people we loved. The peace of someone like Dean , loveable but rough around the edges Dean, get to know peace surrounded by the family he found. 

The ending WE deserved.....was not only for Sam and Dean to have peace when they were done, and that was their fundamental mistake.

Most people didn't started the show with just Sam and Dean. I’m sorry we just didn’t. We started by 4th, 8th, 11th season, when you get to meet all those amazing characters and find value on ALL of them. Knowing that ALL get to share the same heaven, that Dean got them (WE got them) while waiting for Sammy would have given us so much more peace. 

Throw at us that backhanded bullshit of the traditional family with house, dog, kid and white fence. We are used to it by now. But give us the found family we met on the way. OUR family.

I’m glad Bobby was there, but honestly? Cas should have been there too, it was his found family too. It was a way to show that the connections you made on earth prevail. That when you love someone, that love is the strongest force and death will not keep you separated. And heaven is truly peace AND freedom. 

That family runs deeper than relationships by blood. 

Because let’s be clear. If supernatural were only about Sam and Dean, it wouldn’t have been on air for 15 years. They are good, but the extended cast was what made it interesting enough to keep the fans going for more than a decade.

I would add that the ending alienated us from the brothers because it placed them two above all the other people they met along the way including the fans , which is absolutely insane. For so many years it felt like we were in this together, with them, rooting for them. After basically welcoming us in the family business, at the end they booted us, and instead of we all receiving old Sammy with open arms in heaven, it was just Dean, alone. What they expected us to do? cross our arms and look the other way so they could get the brother reunion we already knew was coming?  Because it surely felt like that.

One Bittersweet Sunrise

Signifiying the end of what you wished could be an endless night, the sun finally peeked over the mountains to begin the new day. There are very few things in this life that do not equate to the ethereal beauty of a sunrise. However, you knew that even in the moment, this sunrise would be an unforgettable one.

You looked over to your left and saw how the first rays of today’s sunlight impeccably hit his side profile as he gazed ahead, eyes focused on what was in front of him. He peered over at you and gave you the small, captivating smile that convinced you to go on the adventure you were wrapping up. Realistically speaking, you’d never spend an entire night in the company of a complete stranger you (quite literally) met walking down the street, but it was that very smile that earned your complete trust. And you will never regret that decision.

You both sat in silence as the sun went on to make her rounds across the horizon, with her rays stretching further and further as she continued to rise. It’s possible that you both were thinking of the time you just spent together, or maybe of what the future will hold after today. Or maybe you thought of nothing at all, and were simply enjoying the presence of one another. There was music softly playing in the background, but you paid no attention to it. You were too engulfed in the magical essence of this moment in its entirety to focus on any one single aspect of it. You’d do that later on in the future, whenever you revisited this fond, sentimental memory.

The two of you stole glances at one another as time went on, and you’d occasionally catch the other’s gaze. You couldn’t help but smile shyly when you saw how the sunlight lit up the golden specks in his kind, happy eyes. As if his smile wasn’t already enough. The warmth of those eyes held you captive all night, and honestly you couldn’t believe yourself with how safe you felt under their gentle gaze.

All too soon, this moment came to a tender end, as he finally pulled his car up to your final destination. You two exchanged one last embrace, and went your separate ways.

If nothing else, the one thing you will absolutely remember from this life-changing experience was how beautifully the sun rose.

HAHAHA it’s an absolutely horrifying name I know

but basically all it is is that u just hear like a really loud BANG inside your head or sudden loud noise when you’re falling asleep or waking up, sometimes it might be accompanied by a flash of light or that feeling of jerking awake, it’s basically just a type of hypnagogic (?) hallucination

it’s, uh, not great, and I assume if you experience it literally every night it would be exhausting and terrible, but in my personal experience, thinking about exploding head syndrome is more stressful than when it actually happens, because when it happens it just sort of..... happens.... it’s very sudden and then it’s over

you don’t really have time to be like “AHH WHAT THE FUCK” and there’s no build up or anticipation, it just goes BANG and then it’s over before you even realise it’s happening
