*ruins my own mental fantasies of unrealistic situations bc of how cringe it is for me to have romantic feelings for anyone ever at any time*

#stuff sarah says #how do i explain this...#so fantasy of i become some kind of content creator and get popular #and i playfully banter with someone as a rival but then we collab #but then i was like i can't do that on account of having a weird crush on them in some way #and by weird crush i mean this person doesn't make me feel bad about myself and my brain is like oh romantic attraction? sure #and so in my mental fantasy i tell people semi publicly that like no it would feel awkward on account of the weird crush #and then other people tell THAT person and then they want nothing to do with me ever again #and i just... this is why we can't have nice things ghghfhds #i'm not even allowed to have feelings in my fantasies bc that's Bad #and romantic feelings are especially bad bc ha ha remember when you were 14 and a bunch of people in the school #started making fun of a guy bc you had a crush on him? remember how people absolutely hate it when you have romantic feelings towards them?#so yeah

i have this really really weird probably unhealthy but deeply ingrained mindset that the only worthwhile conversations are arguments

#how do i explain this...#i feel like #if i'm not saying something to further the conversation i'm wasting everyone's time #except here 'further' explicitly means saying something contradictory to what has just been said #this can take the form of playing devil's advocate or just expressing general disagreement #hell sometimes i don't even fully believe what I'M saying i just have to say SOMETHING #bc criticism means you've been paying attention #it means you care about what the other person is saying #except...#i don't think anyone but me feels that way #i think most people interpret my arguing as being irritated or impossible to please #i can't exactly blame them #i've always thought i have a hard time relating to others and feeling empathy #that i don't care about anyone but myself #but #i think that's maybe not true?#i think i just realized that my way of showing i DO care is through arguing #what a strange epiphany
