Charles defending Max from Lando in Austin is the equivalent of Tadej looking back at Jonas for a moment and Jonas charging right ahead to drop Remco and Primoz in Le Lioran in 2024.

Lando might have hoped for cooperation from Charles, just like Remco and Primoz expected from Jonas.

But Charles chose to side with Max, just as Jonas chose to ally with Tadej.

Charles and Jonas are just among the rivals of their respective defending champions, but when given a choice?

If they can't fight for themselves, they will fight for them, so that only they will remain to tussle for the crown, so that it will be them on the top to battle it out for the win, mano o mano.
