Night bus ☾ Yongnam + Seth
The air is cold against his skin, causing a shiver to run up his spine as he tries to zip up his jacket. It takes longer than it normally would as he has trouble focusing in his inebriated state. Plus, there is this feeling of exhaustion that has been weighting heavier on his shoulders as the night went on. He does eventually manage to zip his jacket up and he sighs as he leans against the bus shelter, reaching down to pat his pockets to make sure that he still has his bus pass with him, or at least some change just in case. He is relieved to find that he has both, so he relaxes again, humming softly to himself as he waits.
It doesn’t take long for the bus to arrive and Seth stumbles as he makes his way towards it. He doesn’t notice the wary stare the bus driver gives him as he struggles to step on the bus (it’s not his fault the step looks higher than usual okay). He swipes his card and slowly makes his way toward the back of the bus because that’s always where he prefers to sit (there is more space for his legs there). When he finally reaches the back of the bus, he flops down next to a stranger.
He could have chosen any other seat, one that wasn’t right next to someone, as there were plenty of available seats at this time, but maybe the drunken part of him felt like being close to someone, even if he didn’t know that someone at all. He sighed again, this time at feeling warm and comfortable. He buries his hands in the pockets of his jacket and sinks a bit further down as his eyes slip shut. It doesn’t take long for him to fall asleep, breath evening out until his chest rises and falls slowly.
He wouldn’t be able to tell if what happens next is the result of the movement of the bus or just a subconscious desire to find a pillow, but his head ends up resting against the stranger’s shoulder. Of course, he’s not aware of it, not yet.
