I think Jake just very much has the HarlEgbert trope of not thinking about ones gender too hard except Jade.

Like there’s clearly some kind of gender journey going on with June and Jake both; so, him calling Del’fi “girl” in the commands is just him not knowing, like how June didn’t know Roxy was giving off gender signals.
