“This girl was so drunk she almost spilled her drink on my dress when she was walking past and didn’t even stop to apologise,“ Catarina shook her head as she spoke to the person besides. “I’m all for young kids having fun but at least have some respect.”
“This fucking full-face mask was like good idea for maybe two minutes, but now I am hating it. I can’t breath because of it.” Diana said with frustration in her voice as she took off her mask. “At least I have this.” She said and dug out her flask and shook it lightly before opening it.
Lykke hid her smile behind her hand but her giggling was still audible. “I, oh you won’t believe this, I started drinking before the event and, don’t you dare laugh at me, I drank too much.” She looked around the big ballroom before her eyes landed on the check a guest was holding. “I think it’s time to make a donation? When times get dark, the rich put the lights on in their ballrooms and party to forget. An older Chinese gentleman decided to host a massive charity ball at the Shimao Plaza. He came up with an impressive guest list, every single person was hand picked based on their public image and wealth. What he did not calculate was whether or not would these people make it to the party given the current unstable situation of the world. When half of the guests sent back a letter that began with words “We regret---”, the host had a problem. There would not be a party if there was no guests.
