i can't stop thinking about after The Hug™, the way mobius beelines right for the time door. he doesn't take a single moment to look at loki's face, he doesn't hesitate, he just keeps his eyes on the time door and he doesn't look back.

you could never convince me that he wasn't holding onto the last of his resolve. it's entirely possible loki dies, and mobius will never see him again, and the handshake was safe but loki doesn't do safe so he gives mobius a hug and it's almost too much. if he gets one glimpse of loki's face, he doesn't know if he can do the right thing and leave the void. so he moves and he doesn't stop until the time door closes behind him.

Is it wild that I’m still hoping Byler becomes canon during my lifetime?? 💀 Like, the way every show from the 90’s and 2000’s gets a reboot on a streaming service now, maybe in 10-15 years we’ll get a Stranger Things reunion (hopefully not directed by the fucker brothers). And hopefully by then, one of us who actually loves the show and cares about the characters can be the one to write or direct it, and we can finally get canon Byler after all this time. Like, Mike and Will can reunite and Mike can admit how wrong he was and what a mistake he made to not come out of the closet and admit his feelings sooner.

Second best option is we get a Heated Rivalry or Fifty Shades scenario where a major movie or series based off Byler fanfiction gets greenlit. 😭💀 I’ll be happy with either tbh.
