⊹ To find the Hufflepuff Common Room, which is in the basement of Hufflepuff, the student must go down the same corridor that gives access to the kitchen and go to the right side of it, where they will find a pile of large barrels, which are stacked in a shadowy stone recess.
⊹ Now, the only way to open the passage is by tapping barrel 2 from the bottom, in the middle of the second role, in the rhythm of “Helga Hufflepuff”. The wrong barrel, rhythm, or number of tapping will result in a lead bursting off and soaking the trespasser in vinegar.
↳ Professor Sprout asks for students to stop freaking out for not getting the right beat on the barrel. We get it, you’re soaking wet. But try to relax, for Merlin’s sake! You’re making a trail of vinegar and house-elves keep slipping on it!
⊹ When you’ve passed the sloping earthy passage inside the barrel and finally entered the door of the Rabbit Hole, you’ll see our circular-shaped common room. Here is a very welcoming place to stay. People usually lie on couches trying to snuggle up (which is why we have a ton of blankets) or tending to the sheer number of plants that surround the room.
⊹ Is true that we are in the basement, but it always feels sunny here! There are windows in the common room that look out onto the rippling grass and dandelions of the school grounds, and the common room itself never gets too hot in the summer, and never too cold in the winter either! Here it is always full of colourful flowers, plants and various cacti that do not stop dancing for the students. Oh, and speaking of plants, I might remind you, don’t forget to feed the carnivorous plants!
⊹ There are two round rabbit hole doors under the stairs. They’ll take you to the girls’ and boys’ dorms, and now that you know the common room, you’re free to go to your dorm whenever you like!
↳ Hufflepuff students, please don’t try to play with the Whomping Willow! We all know that is very intriguing, but it’s a big old tree that doesn’t want to be disturbed and has very little patience.

⊹ There is a big tree in the center of the common room filled with little lamps hanging from the branches. The tree also has Fairies and Bowtruckles living in it.
⊹ There are some barrels in the common room. When there is a party some students fill them with butterbeer.
⊹ I think that the common room has two floors. I don’t know why, but it just makes sense to me that it would be because of the large number of students.
⊹ There’s a small barrel passage on the wall of the common room, which leads you to the kitchen, and is only used by house-elves, who bring one of Helga’s food recipes every day to the Hufflepuff students.
