Maggie peered her head into the office, blonde curles bouncing as she did so. Nina had told her to wait for her, but she had been gone for sooooo long.

In reality it had only been about five minutes, but five minutes is a very long time for a child that isn't used to being left alone.

Evan didn't notice her at first, too busy nursing the coffee he'd poured for himself. He was finally feeling a bit better. Physically anyway.

This whole being human thing was really beyond him. They were so damned fragile.

Looking up though, the girl before him made his brows furrow.

"Where the hell did you come from?" He questioned, never having seen the child before. She didn't feel like one of Mare's.

I saw @vanitatum-vanitass talk about ghost!barty and human!evan, so i just had to elaborate the idea. (ily ricola)

Tony popped into Evan's office, standing in front of the older demon's desk with a handful of applications. "Well that's not quite right?" he said, taking note of Evan's currant position, sensing something was off. "What happened?

"Those damned gray bastards! That's what fucking happened," he huffed, forcing himself to straighten up despite how he felt like the room was lurching. His stomach right along with it.

"Just..... It's temporary. Fucking forget it. What do you have for me?" He asked, holding his hand out for the applications.

Evan! How about finally learning what it's like to be human?

Not that you have a choice. You're now human until Mun says otherwise.

"Human? Can I even be human? I don't have a soul to regain. I...." He started, though his voice was almost in a livid panic.

Before he could finish his sentence, he was leaning over his desk, pain etched clear as day on his face. He didn't know what was worse. The sudden weight of guilt that threatened to eat him alive, or the pain twisting in his gut from the plethora of drugs in his suddenly vulnerable system.

"Oh fuck you."
