hi sorry its been five bajillion years since i've posted art

this is for an au where toothless can shift from dragon to human and he and hiccup meet as children. hiccup takes him to the village and stoick eventually accepts the strange child hiccup found in the woods and they grow up together hiding the fact that toothless is also a dragon (they still eventually lose their legs i just didn't draw it)

I really really wanted to design my own human toothless. I drew a full body version of him and a piece of fanart of him and Hiccup about a year ago now? And needless to say (I hated it) my skills have significantly improved. So I did it again and now I'm going to use this as my canon design for him.

What do you think of him?

He was slightly inspired by @mahoganyrust's version of Human Toothless

Also in Modern AUs where Toothless isn't some every day pet I head canon that his name is Nátt - meaning night, Nītu meaning fury - not that his last name matters.

His name literally is Night Fury in Norwegian/Icelandic

"Toothless?"

The teen looked up, green eyes meeting his. It looked like he was having trouble speaking, "...Yes?"
