Discrimination, hate crimes, raping, torturing, and many other disgusting actions were a part of the daily lives of the minority of Muslims who used to live in Myanmar, and are referred to as the Rohingya people. After these actions did not suffice for the people who looked down upon them, they decided to burn down multiple villages, leaving them homeless and with no possessions. Approximately 1.1 million of the Rohingya people then decided to travel hundreds of miles to Bangladesh and even India for a chance to live life a little better. Although, our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters were not greeted with the contentment they expected to find. Due to the amount of excessive migration, the countries offering shelter became over populated, Refugee camps were the solution, and the Rohingya people are now considered refugees. In some areas, providing resources for these people is banned, which makes living conditions even worse. The Rohingya people now live in a new country where they have to face poverty, limited to none resources, terrible diseases, and they aren't even allowed back into the country they once called home. You might notice that our whole campaign name revolves around the word "Rahámot." This word is in the language of the Rohingya people, and it means grace. With the help of non-profit organizations and including the youth of which our future is depending on, we hope to raise enough money to help as many of our brothers and sisters as possible InshaAllah. Aside from money, we hoping to collect physical resources, including toiletries, canned food, sending care packages, etc. The smallest amount could be of larger value than you think. Let's make the world an easier place to live in, one step at a time. Ameen
