#Repost @spear.system ・・・ Our friend @truexodus is a quick study. This is an excellent integration of our @spear.system principle into his world-class gunfight skills. Repost @truexodus 👇 ・・・ Took 30 minutes away from Sunday's sermon to begin implementing what @tonyblauer calls your startle-flinch response into my live fire training. There's a delicate balance between being violent in striking and then drawing and getting hits on targets. A lot has gone into this point. I've rep my stance, my initial contact and my one handed purchase over and over again. And then I ramp it up into live fire striking softly and then getting to the gun. And then the "violence" comes. You can't choreograph violence because you'll never know if you'll miss, get knocked on your butt, if the other guy will simply flee after a strike, or what have you. You will see the first weapon introduced but will you catch the second? Since no one has volunteered their body for science, dummies help us rep and get use to the striking and the gun acquisition. Real people in real force on force combatives is where these hours of training are put to the test. It is, in my mind the most purest form of training for civilians CCWers there is. Not just sims. Sims are great. But real, raw, violent, striking overpowering people who want to "kill" you. It's addictive and it's sadly where I've been spending to little of my time. Who does combative work like this? @tonyblauer and @domraso are the dudes that I know do a real good job of it.
