Current Status... Had a few unsettling moments earlier after some very persistent tornado warnings (sighting) were announced for Coral Springs. We retreated to our "safe room" with the offspring and pups. Fortunately, the warning expired without incident but since then I've gradually started collecting things and putting them in our closet within our safe room. Items include a suitcase I quietly packed this morning after having a nightmare about a tornado, my purse, car keys, a bin containing our computers and important documents, blankets, food & water, our stash of batteries and flashlights and lastly... two roller derby helmets in case shit gets real. 😂😳

So far, so good. A lot of rain and some street flooding, and a few branches down. At least I still have power, which is more than I can say for over 1 million of my fellow Georgians ... but the wind is really starting to pick up. If I can get through the next 12-14 hours without losing some trees, all will be good.
