It happened on summer vacation a year or so ago, she and her cousin were playing in the pool. She had been running around the outside of it and slipped into the deep end of the water, banging her head in the process. In order to “get revenge” on the water he cannonballed into it and began to punch the water pool until Helena’s sides hurt from laughing and dodging the splash. But if he were here now, would he protect her the same way he did back then? She shook her head. A day ago she was convinced that she was invincible, that she was safe from all the horrors other people experienced. Did her cousin think the same? Would he be strong enough to protect her now? She hoped so, but a part of her recoiled at the thought of anyone else being in this position. No, she didn’t want him to save her. What she really wanted was to be strong enough to save herself.

BRO YOUR SCARLETVISION BLOG...
WAHHHH THANK YOU.... comic scarletvision means so much to me and there was a severe lack of them on non whitewashing blogs on this site so i knew i had to do something.... i'm so glad ppl like them 🥺😭
Hi there! I'm a relatively new Helena Bertinelli convert. I was wondering, which origin do you prefer: Huntress Year One or the first six issues of Huntress (1989)?
Huntress 1989 definitely. Huntress Year One didn't get Helena that well and they made her too angry and preachy and forgot to develop anything else.
I have a post that talks about the origin stories more:
Helena's Origin Stories My favorite origin story for Helena is Huntress 1989. First of all, it's a pretty long series (19 issues) and we see
I really recommend the 1989 run. If you're able to (I think Comixology has them), read all 19 issues of that series. It's a very good story.
