"I," Chan groaned as he folded himself on top of his wife as soon as he stepped through the front door. "Am. Tired."
Giggling under her breath, Y/N caught her husband in her arms and hugged him tightly. He had brought in the crisp night air with him, and it lingered in smoky wisps along the threading of his clothes. Y/N kissed the side of his head as Chan continued to groan in a dramatic fashion into the crook of her neck, the sound pressing hot air to her skin.
"Long day?" Y/N hummed in question. Chan pulled away a little and Y/N slid her gaze over him, her face breaking into a smile at the dark suit hanging off of his frame. "You still look as smart as ever."
"No, I think I lost a button," Chan lifted his wrist, the cuff of his shirt slipping out from the sleeve of his blazer. He pointed to a loose string. "See?"
Taking his hand in hers, Y/N kissed his palm. "Doesn't make you any less beautiful, baby."
Chan's cheeks turned the colour of cherries as his mouth broke into a shy grin. He pulled his wife closer to him again and Y/N looped her arms around his neck, letting the man embrace her for as long as he needed to.
"Are your feet okay?" Y/N asked, patting his back.
Chan peered down at her with softened eyes. "My feet?"
"Yeah. They always hurt after a long day, don't they? And these shoes look so … uncomfortable," Y/N pointed to the polished shoes on her husband's feet. "Very classy, but very … "
"They're squishing my feet," Chan admitted with a laugh. He sniffed suddenly as Y/N deposited him down onto a small bench near the wet room, and he smiled when she crouched in front of him. "Baby, what are you doing?"
"Taking these off," Y/N replied simply. Her fingers were gentle on the buckles at the side, and Chan frowned, immediately bending down and slipping his fingers into hers.
"I can take them off myself," Chan insisted, his eyes wide.
Y/N smiled. "I know you can. But I want to."
Laughing suddenly, Chan cupped Y/N's chin in his hand. "I didn't know you had a foot fetish."
Mouth dropping open at her husband's comment, Y/N turned her face to the side and cheekily bit her husband's finger. The man yelped and retreated, leaning back against the wall as another chuckle escaped him.
"I," Y/N said pointedly as she pulled one of his shoes off. "Do not."
Chan was still chuckling when she removed the other shoe; he winced suddenly, and his face contorted with pain with the sudden release of pressure from the shoes.
"That bad, huh?" Y/N asked, gently pressing the soles of his feet with her fingertips.
The man groaned in response, scrunching his face up like a piece of paper at the feeling.
Standing up again, Y/N pushed his shoes to the side for the time being before holding her hand out to her husband. Chan looked up at her in confusion as he slipped his hand into hers, letting her pull him up with some difficulty from the bench.
"Do I have to carry you?" Y/N joked, squeezing his hand.
"No," Chan grinned, though his steps inherited a weak limp as he followed his wife. He raised an eyebrow. "Where are you taking me?"
"To the bath," Y/N said simply, making a beeline for the staircase. "And then I'm going to give you a massage."
"Ooh … " Chan was tempted. "That sounds … perfect. But aren't you tired too? I don't want to bother you baby."
Y/N rolled her eyes up to the ceiling. "Christopher."
Chuckling at her response, Chan kissed his wife on the cheek and smiled at her with his tired eyes. "Okay, okay. Thank you baby."
Once the couple had made it to their bathroom, Y/N immediately opened the tap. She let it run in the bath for a moment before plugging the drain, and as the hot water began to fill the tub, she poured in an assortment of different liquids and grains, each one painting the water different colours and changing the scent.
From behind her, Chan watched curiously. He was too tired to object when his wife flooded the tub with bubbles, and he couldn't help but smile to himself as he watched her. Her face was soft, and a small smile kissed her lips; she looked so happy, running a bath for him, that Chan momentarily felt the fatigue and pain run from his body like the stream of hot water in front of him as a surge of affection rose up inside his body.
Y/N altered the lighting in the room, dimming the golden glow and creating a warm atmosphere before moving towards her husband again. Chan was sitting on a small stool, and he smiled up at her when she ran his fingers through his hair. It was limp with sweat, but she didn't mind; she caressed his cheeks with her fingers before kissing his forehead, her hands trailing down to the collar of his shirt.
She gently unbuttoned his shirt, dropping it into the corner of the room. It was followed by the rest of his clothes, and once she had undressed him, Y/N helped him into the steaming bathtub.
Chan shivered as his skin hit the hot water. He inhaled sharply, his face crumpling as he sank into the tub; he seemed to be in more pain than Y/N thought, and the woman's eyes filled with worry as she watched him.
"Aren't you getting in?" Chan huffed, dropping his head back. He sat up again, surprised at the softness; he realised Y/N had hung a bath pillow over the edge, and he barely noticed his eyes filling with tears at the kind gesture as he leaned back again.
"No," Y/N hummed. "Just relax … I'm right here, okay?"
Chan nodded in response. He shut his eyes, letting the water caress his aching body. He was groaning under his breath more than he realised, and the man's forehead was creased with the agony that was flooding through him in slow, throbbing waves. He was surprised when he felt his wife's fingers in his hair again, and he opened his eyes with some difficulty to see Y/N stood behind him, a bottle of shampoo beside her.
"Close your eyes baby," Y/N caressed the man's temples, leaning down to kiss his nose. His face was upside down to her and she smiled; she could still make out the large grin on his face, and she leaned down a little further, finding his lips with hers.
He kissed her back, Chan's touch gentle as he sank lower into the water. He shut his eyes again and his breath shuddered when Y/N started to massage the shampoo into his hair, her fingertips soft against his scalp.
"Mmm … " Chan hummed. "That feels good."
"Good," Y/N pushed at his pressure points near the base of his neck, and Chan groaned a little louder than before. It made his wife laugh quietly, and she pressed at them again, the sound escaping his mouth even louder.
"I know you're laughing at me," Chan was grinning as he tipped his head forward. Y/N's fingers were smoothing over his shoulder blades, and he hissed, jumping in the water as she hit a particularly sore muscle. "That hurt."
"Sorry baby," Y/N kissed the back of his neck. "Your shoulders … they're like rocks. I have to get the knots out somehow … or they'll hurt even more in the morning.
Chan sighed. "I hate that you're right."
Giggling, Y/N went back to massaging his head. "I'll do it later. You're off the hook … for now."
"So grateful," Chan hummed, the corner of his mouth turning up into a smile again. He sighed then, relief washing through him as the water moved around him along with his body. "I missed you today."
"You did?" Y/N asked, reaching for the shower head. "Such a busy day and you still had time to miss me? I'm honoured, Bahng."
Grinning, Chan reached out an arm; water dripped down his elbow as he cheekily tickled his wife's stomach with his wet fingers. The water immediately soaked through the thin cotton of her t-shirt, and Y/N sighed as her husband burst into satisfied laughter.
"Oopsies," Chan said, making his wife groan. "Looks like you'll have to take that off."
Y/N's lips twitched as she rinsed out her husband's hair. "What are you getting at?"
"You, obviously," Chan hummed, his face one of happiness.
"You can't even keep your eyes open and you want me to take my clothes off?" Y/N asked. "That's new."
Chan chuckled. "Nah, see, if you take them off I'll be able to keep my eyes open, you know?"
Scooping conditioner into her hands, Y/N began to lather it over the man's wet curls. She smoothed it over all the strands, taking her time. "Maybe later. If you behave."
"You're no fun," Chan sighed in mock defeat. He then reached out again, his hand suddenly darting towards her chest; the top half of Y/N's t-shirt stuck to her body and she tutted as the water started to turn cold. It dripped down her torso and she shivered. She realised that the only way she would stop shivering was if she took her top off, just like Chan had wanted her to.
Her t-shirt soon joined her husband's pile of clothes in the corner.
"That's better," Chan hummed. "More comfy, yeah?"
"I'll give you more comfy in a minute," Y/N muttered as she reached for the shower head again.
Chan snickered. "I don't know what that means, but I like the sound of it."
Once the water in the tub had grown tepid, Chan got out of the bath; a goofy smile glowed on his face as Y/N patted him down with a large towel, and when she wrapped it around his body, he started to giggle.
"What's so funny?" Y/N laughed. She grabbed another towel and gently pressed it to his hair before pulling him back into the bedroom.
Chan wriggled around in response; his arms were tucked beneath the towel, and his cheeks dimpled as his lips pressed into a thin line.
"I'm a sushi roll," Chan said in a childish voice. He continued to wriggle around on the spot as Y/N smoothed down the surface of their bed.
She couldn't help but snort with laughter at his slightly delirious behaviour. Feeling mischievous, she grabbed the end of the towel that was tucked around him and tugged at it. It immediately fell away and Chan yelped, the cool air suddenly hitting his bare skin.
"You have been de-sushied," Y/N said, tossing the towel away. "Go on, go lie on the bed."
"It's cold," Chan shivered as he dived into the bed. He began to wriggle around amongst the sheets again like a fish, and Y/N had to sit on top of him for him to stop flopping over the sheets.
"Lie still," Y/N giggled, settling herself just above his thighs. "You'll warm up in a minute."
"I'm already warm," Chan's voice was muffled by his pillow. His hair was still damp, and dark splotches bloomed over the pillow cases like flowers as the water seeped into the fabric. "You're really warm."
"Really? Even though I'm not wearing anything?" Y/N asked as she reached over her husband; her fingers curled around a bottle of body oil and she sat back up again, pulling the lid off of it.
"Yes," Chan said simply.
Smiling, Y/N leaned down. She smoothed her hands over her husband's back and kissed the nape of his neck, peppering his skin with a multitude of gentle kisses that reduced him into a pile of giggles.
"I love you," Y/N whispered against his shoulder, kissing him once more before moving back again. She poured the oil onto the man's back, the liquid dripping down his lightly tanned skin and instantly coating it in a golden sheen.
Placing the bottle down on the nightstand, Y/N rubbed her hands together before sliding them over Chan's back. The man immediately groaned and he smashed his face into his pillow, reducing the sounds. He was breathing heavily as Y/N started to apply pressure to his shoulder blades, her fingers digging into the hardness of his strained muscles, her thumbs smoothing over him in circular movements.
"I want to detach my body from my body," Chan suddenly gasped as he turned his head to the side. His face was red, and his nose scrunched up in pain as Y/N continued her sweet torture against his muscles.
Y/N giggled. "You want to what?"
Chan resisted the urge to let out a roar as she pressed against a particularly sore part of his lower back. He breathed heavily, his back rising and falling rapidly.
"Why does it hurt so bad?" Chan hissed, squeezing his eyes shut. "It feels good but then it hurts. So much."
"Yeah, I'm not surprised … you fucked yourself up big time today, Chris," Y/N mused. She was being as gentle as she could; but every one of her touches seemed to drive her husband crazy, and with every passing second she felt her sympathy grow for him. "But I mean … it's better than it was twenty minutes ago."
"Only twenty minutes? Feels like twenty hours," Chan groaned, shoving his head back into the pillow.
Laughing to herself, Y/N shuffled back. She started to massage his legs, her hands cupping his thighs and sweeping upwards. Once she reached his feet, she used her thumbs to press gentle circles into his soles, smoothing her fingers against the sides of his feet and around his heels.
Chan had either grown desensitised to the pain at this point, or he had chosen to ignore it; instead the pillow beneath him was wet from his tears. As his wife kept smoothing her loving hands over his aches and pains, Chan couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man on the planet. Just seeing his wife's face alone at the end of a difficult day was enough to soothe him, but the lengths she went to in order to comfort him and make him feel better made Chan incredibly emotional. He sniffed rather loudly, and Y/N suddenly looked up, tilting her head to the side.
"Baby? Are you okay?" Y/N asked.
Before he could stop himself, Chan suddenly sat up; he grabbed for his wife and pulled her into his lap before sliding his muscular arms around her waist. He buried his face into the crook of her neck and squeezed her tightly; his skin was hot and incredibly soft against Y/N's, and she was surprised at the strength in his limbs as he hugged her.
She smiled. He must have been feeling better already.
"I love you so much," Chan whispered against her shoulder. "I really, really love you."
"Aw baby … I love you," Y/N rubbed his back with her glistening fingers. "Why are you crying?"
"Because," Chan inhaled, hard. "I don't deserve you. I really, really don't."
"Of course you do," Y/N breathed against the top of his head. She smiled, kissing his skin. "You must be more tired than I thought, getting all emotional like this."
The man laughed, his body shaking against hers as he pulled away a little. His eyes sparkled in the dim bedroom, and he nuzzled his nose against his wife's as another wave of affection took hold of him.
"Come on," Y/N whispered, her hands soft on his chest as she continued to massage his muscles. "Let's go downstairs. I bet you're hungry."
It didn't take long for the pair of them to slide into t-shirts and shorts before making their way down to the kitchen and devouring a late meal. Chan had then insisted on making hot chocolate for the both of them, and the man soon found himself sitting on the sofa with his back against his wife's torso, her arms wrapped around his waist.
"You really don't want to sleep?" Y/N asked, tucking her legs around Chan's. He shook his head, his head tucked under her chin and his fingers curled around his mug of hot chocolate.
"No. Funnily enough I think the massage woke me up," Chan grinned. "You're a good masseuse, baby."
"Really? I think at the time you'd have said something completely different," Y/N snorted, recalling the way he was thrashing around the bedsheets. She tightened her hold on him, slipping her fingers under his t-shirt. His skin was smooth from the body oil, and he was radiating enormous amounts of heat that made her shiver.
"Yeah, well, no pain, no gain, right?" Chan grinned. He gulped down the last of his drink before leaning over and setting it down onto the coffee table. The man then leaned back completely into his wife, his hands sliding under his shirt and resting over Y/N's.
"I feel so lucky," he whispered, snuggling into her. "You make me feel like the luckiest man to ever exist."
Blushing at her husband's sleepy words, Y/N dropped a kiss onto the top of his head. She could feel his chest rising and falling at a slower place, and she knew he was about to fall asleep at any moment, despite him claiming to be woken up.
"And you make me feel like the luckiest woman to ever exist," Y/N replied, burying her face into his neck. She felt her husband smile and tangle his fingers with hers with a gentle squeeze, before he promptly fell asleep.

Hi, I'm here to make a request because i desperatey seek some comfort lately and since we are moots and i like your writing i thought i ask but feel free to ignore it. 😊
So I thought about the reader having a toxic family and because of that a very low self-esteem and the member (I would prefer Chan or Felix but honestly you can pick whoever you want) finds her crying because of her family and comforts her. And then she is like "Why are you even dating me?" and the member tells her how how much he loves her and how beautiful and kinde, etc. she is.
It's up to you how toxic you want her family to be. please only write what you feel comfortable with.
I just have some trouble with my own family lately. I hope you are better and remember to stay hydrated! 💕
a/n: hey <33 thank you for the request, and i hope it brings you some comfort. sorry that it took so long! and thank u for the kind words. i hope ur family situation is okay, feel free to talk to me. take care and now enjoy<333

You sat on the cold floor, your back facing the wall. Altough you tried your best not to break down, you couldn’t hold it in anymore. Tears ran down your face, followed with pained sobs. You pulled your knees up to your chin, and wrapped your arms around yourself in an attempt for comfort. It didn’t help.
What brought this break down was nothing really new for you. Your family making fun of you, and yelling hurtful words at you was something you always knew. But this time, it was just too much.
When your mother called you just before, you didn’t even want to pick up, but she was your mother right? And she sounded nice and warmhearted at the beginning. You almost didn’t want to believe it. And unfortunately you were right with not believing that forced sweet voice. After the small talk, she got to the point immediately.
Your own mother had the audicity to beg for money from your boyfriend. And she didn’t even have a good reason. It was so your brothers girlfriend wouldn’t leave him. As stupid as it sounded that’s what it was. Your brother was younger than you, and you always tried to think positively, that maybe you were just being unfair, but deep down you exactly knew that he always got better things than you. He went to a expensive private school, and you on a normal one. He got the newest i-phones, headphones and gaming tools, and you had only the old phone from him. He one time destroyed it with purpose, and what did your parents say? They were sure it was an accident and you sure were old enough to pay for your own phone. And the worst was he wasn’t even thankful.
And you don't even want to think about grades. He didn't care at all about school, having the worst grades ever. You? If you got two points less in a test, your parents would call you a failure, and then give you the silent treatment for days. You were just glad you finished school, and didn't have to share anything about university with them.
When you asked your mother for money one time, when you couldn’t afford a bus ticket, such a simple thing, she didn’t give it to you. Saying that you had healthy legs, and your family needed money for more important things. It was always like that.
So now your brother had the fakest girlfriend ever. She always smiled around your parents, and that was everything she needed to do so they would like her. She always begged your brother to buy her things, and he never hesitated to do so. But no, he didn‘t even take his own money. It was your parents‘. It was unbelievable noone saw what big of a gold digger she was. But when you moved out, you stopped trying to tell them that things were unfair, you stopped letting them treat you as if you were just a problem, that they had to tolerate.
And now your mom really had the audicity to want to take advantage of chans career and money. You could almost laugh. She always despised chan, telling you that he was not the one, and that she was sure that he was a cheater and someone that would leave you when he saw the next best girl. That was so rich coming from a woman, that cheated on her husband on a monthly base.
And coming back to the call, of course you said no. And after you said this one word, the bittersweet tone immediately dropped. She said something about what a bad family member you were, not caring for your family, when you had so much money, and your family needed it. When you still said no, she started yelling at you. You hated when she yelled. And when you couldn’t stand it anymore, you told her what of a shitty mother she has always been, and that she was the unfair one. That your whole family was just toxic, and that nothing was okay like this. That it always was like this. And maybe you should have hung up the call then. For a moment it was just silence. Then she let out a bitter, faked sob, before she literally screamed:
„You think we were unfair to you? You always had enough to eat, and a roof over your head. We never were unfair. Your brother is young, and he deserves to have love, so why won’t you help him? You are such a spoiled, little ungrateful brat y/n! I wish i never had you. Your father is stressed out because of your little manners, and your brother has to suffer because of you. And if i would ask you for money for food? I bet you wouldn’t even give us that! But okay, continue being the biggest bad decision of my life, with your spoiled, stupid singer boyfriend. And when he leaves your bitchy ass don’t come and beg for our forgiveness. Have a shitty life y/n, we won’t have contact anymore.Oh and just so you know, if you think you could ever be good enough for someone, you are living a lie.“
Then she hung up. Just like this. You always tried to convince yourself, that she had just a bad day, when she was like this. That it was hard to be a mother and a wife. But now you saw it clear. She wasn’t just like this because it was her weird way of caring or something. She just simply despised you. Probably she wouldn’t if you were a boy.
But then her words. Was she right? You were always envious of your brother, and all the things he got, also if you didn’t care as much anymore as you got older. But maybe you were ungratefull. What if chan thought the same and just didn’t leave you because he felt pity for you? Were you a brat without even really knowing it?
You wrapped your arms tighter around yourself, as your tears got only more, and your thoughts continued spiraling. Maybe you should beg her for forgiveness, like you always did. You shouldn’t have yelled at her like this, she was your mother and she was right, she always gave you to eat and a roof over the head. So you were being unfair maybe…
Then slowly, another thought crept up in your mind. Her life would be easier without you. And your brothers and fathers too. Maybe chans and all your friends too. Were you really just a burden? It had to be like this, when the person you knew your whole life said that…right?
You didn’t notice how loud you were sobbing, and how hard you were digging your fingers into your head, tangled in your hair, as if you wanted to just rip the thoughts out of your head. Then the front door of your shared apartment opened. But between your loud thoughts, the sobbing and the slight ringing in your ears you didn’t hear it.
Chan’s day was exhausting, and he was just looking forward to snuggle up on the couch with you. When he got in the apartment he wanted to say that he was home, but a noise immediately caught his attention. Sobs, pained and muffled. His eyes grew wide. Did something happen? He quickly kicked his shoes off and dropped his bag to the floor, and then ran into your shared bedroom. His heart broke when he saw you sitting curled up on the floor, sobbing hard, hands tangled in your hair. He quickly ran over to you, crouching down next to you. „Y/nnie, oh my god is everything alright, are you hurt?“ he spoke with a desperate, concerned voice.
You only noticed his presence now, but you didn’t dare to look up, the words from your mother present in your mind.
Chan got only more scared when you just didn’t look up, and instead gripped your hair tighter. He gently but firmly grabbed your wrists, pulling your hands out your hair. You tried to fight him off, and you started screaming between sobs.
„Let me go, i don’t care, please, i’m not worth it.“
Chan had no idea what you meant. You just tried to scratch him with your nails so he would let go. What was going on? He never ever saw you like this. This wasn’t you. But for sure he wouldn’t let go and let you hurt yourself.
„Y/n, stop scratching me, and i’m for sure not letting go. Just try to calm down, and tell me what is going on right now.“ His voice was stern but unbelievable soft. You still fought him, your nails leaving bright red scratches on his wrists, sobbing violently. Why wasn’t he letting go when you were clearly hurting him? Why wasn’t he getting mad and yelling at you? Why wasn’t he just giving up on you like everyone else when you were like this?
But then he suddenly started gently stroking your head, with one hand, your wrists in his other one. The motion was soft and definitely not violent or madly. You stopped scratching him, and screaming your own horrible thoughts in chans face. You just looked at him now, tears streaming down your face, sobs getting quiet.
He gently smiled.
„See? Everythings alright, no reason to hurt or scream at me my love.“ He slowly released your wrists, continuing brushing over your hair soothingly.
You were confused. How was he smiling in this situation. How could he still touch you so lovingly when you just screamed in his face and hurt him? When you looked at his wrists you felt guilty.
Chan saw your body slump as you calmed down, now only silent tears rolling over your cheeks anymore.
He just looked at you, giving you time to calm down. He then slowly wrapped his arms around you, stroking your back. Your tears were falling onto his hoodie, and you didn’t even really register when he lifted you up the floor, carrying you to the bed. He gently laid you down, and sat down next to you. He waited a bit before he spoke up again.
„Love, i need you to talk to me a bit now okay? I need to know what happened that got you feeling and acting like this, so i can help and comfort you alright? I know this wasn’t you, and i know there has to be a reason why you were breaking down like this. Just know you can tell me everything. Don’t pretend with me love.“
You sat up against the wall a bit, sniffling.
„I’m sorry i hurt you, i don’t know what got into me.“ You mumble, looking at your own hands fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
„I know you are sorry. It’s alright, it doesn’t hurt, it only hurted to see you like this.“
He waits for you to talk again, patiently looking at you.
„It was my mother. She called.“
His eyes softened. He knew that your relationship with your family wasn’t the best, and they weren’t that kind to you.
Then you told him everything, every word your mother said and all your thoughts to it. Your last sentence hurt him deeper than anything else.
„…How can you even be with someone like me? I’m messed up and ungrateful and just a burden-„
He took your hands in his, looking you in the eyes.
„Y/n L/n, if you ever talk about yourself like this again i will have to worry you actually lost your mind. What your mother said, was horrible. And i want you to understand that all of that is not true. You’ve never been a burden to me, and you never could be. And did you just say you believe your not thankful enough? You y/n? The person who gets excited over the smallest things, the person who was so sweet and grateful when i forgot our anniversary and only gifted you a flower? You never wanted me for my money y/n, and you know that, and i know it too. That was always a big fear of mine, that people would only want me for money, my job and stuff. But you proved me wrong. You always loved me for me. If even, i should be happy you even want to be with me. You are the kindest, funniest and best person i know. And no matter what happens, i will always stay with you, as long as you want it. And i’ll make sure these people will never hurt you again. And you know what? I can be your family. I will always love and support you. And if you fall? Then i’m falling with you. And then we get up again, with the help of each other. Exactly like a family should.“
Tears welled up in your eyes again. But this time they weren’t from sadness and the feeling of not being good enough.
„I can’t tell you how much your words mean to me channie.“ You said, a little smile creeping to your face.
He smiled too and wrapped his arms around you from the side again, putting his head on your shoulder.
„That’s the smile i love.“
You wrapped your arms around him too, nuzzling your face into his hair.
„I love my new family.“ you murmured.
„How about we make it official?“ he lifts his head, so he can look into your eyes.
„What do you mean?“ You hold your breath, as you let his words sink in.
„Marry me y/n. I promise to be there for you, no matter what comes.“
For a moment it felt like the whole world stayed still. Did this wonderful man really want to be with you for the rest of his life?
Then a big joyful smile spread across your face, the tear streaks from before seemed as if they were years ago now. The joy literally radiated from you now.

it was nights like these.
when y/n could feel the calm, persistent rise and fall of her husband’s unclad chest pressing against her back. a loving warmth radiates from chan, seeping into her being, and enveloping her entirety in a blanket of comfort and security. the feeling of his fervent kisses he placed against the length of her neck earlier still linger. the couple lay together, limbs intertwined. chan’s right arm hooked under the curve of y/n’s waist; his sly, wandering fingers slithered underneath her singlet and rested against the soft, plush of her abdomen. right then and there, y/n prays for a greater divine entity to make time stand still, so she can continue to relish his doting embrace. her heart swells with utter delight, and a tinge of delirium ー a result of the late hours of the evening that she finds herself awake at.
y/n reaches for chan’s other hand, his arm slung lazily over her hip. she fiddles with the thin, silver bracelet adorning his wrist. the bracelet she gifted him over two years prior - inscribed on the inside plate, a few words: what’s yours is mine. although cliche, the idiom became a phrase the pair often recited to each other.
she chuckles softly to herself, reminiscing on the defining moment in their journey to marriage.
“honey, please look at me…” chan pleads as he kneels before y/n, who sits on their small couch with an absent gaze fixed to the opposite wall of their apartment. she’s teary-eyed with her bottom lip in a pout.
she continues to stubbornly avoid his eyes. he brings his thumb and index to her chin, guiding her face to meet his. chan leans forward, y/n is drawn to his wide brown orbs that beckon her attention, holding a profound reassurance as they stare back at her. the silent communication between the pair has y/n lurching forward into chan’s arms, nestling her face into his shoulder as child-like wails escape her.
“i-i didn’t think they’d see me. i’m so sorry, channie. i don’t want to break up, but i don’t want them to hurt you. i don’t want th-them to be mad at you.”
the flurry of fears spew from his girlfriend as she clings to his frame, whilst chan consolingly pats her back. everything begins to click in his head. earlier that day, the couple were called to the company, where his manager broke the news of their exposure to the public. an array of headlines decorated the homepages of various news sites, mostly presenting their relationship in a scandalous, negative manner.
y/n was very quiet, and appeared understanding, but on their way home, a sense of distance and tension had begun festering between them.
“baby, you did nothing wrong. they were going to find out about us sooner or later. you mean the world to me. i won’t let anything happen to you. if they’re my fans, they’ll be happy for me.” chan gently affirms y/n as he cradles her fragile, exhausted body.
“up we go,” he announces, tucking his arms under y/n’s knees and around her shoulders to gather her into a bridal-style hold. chan carefully walks them to their shared bedroom, placing her delicately on the edge of the bed. once again, his girlfriend’s gaze is downcast, her shoulder slump with the weight of great sorrow as she sniffles trying to hold back the stinging tears that prick at her eye line.
chan uses this opportunity to hastily rummage through his backpack hanging off a hook on the back of the bedroom door. he's careful to conceal the small velvet box in his pocket. taking a seat next to y/n on the bed, his left arm encases her shoulders and brings her head to rest against him.
“i wasn’t going to say it like this, but the timing couldn’t be any better,” he nervously starts, feebly scratching at his clavicle. chan takes y/n’s left hand in his, caressing the back of her palm, rubbing faint soothing circles in hopes to assuage her anxieties. y/n senses the shift in his demeanour, her breath hitching in her throat in anticipation for the worst; she had a tendency to spiral, and she begins to mentally prepare herself for him to deliver the three dreadful words: “let’s break up-” but he doesn’t.
“let’s get married-” y/n swallowed, her head tilted slightly back to prevent the salty tears that welled up. a volcano threatening to erupt, they began to freefall without a care, her trembling hands cover her eyes as she hurriedly move out of his firm hold.
“i don’t want to say goodbye to what we have, but if it’s for the best, i’ll do anything for you, chan.”
“woah, woah! baby, slow down. retract that, come back to me.” y/n stands in front of him, as the reality washes over her. with her mouth agape, she studies his face. chan’s lips are plastered with a smile, but his brows furrow at the unexpected rejection. he peers at her face painted with disbelief, before breaking into a laugh.
“did you think i was breaking up with you?” his hands reach out to y/n, residing on either side of her hips to position her in between his knees. y/n’s hands come to rest on his shoulders and she doesn’t break eye contact with him. her eyes conveying a message of uncertainty, and chan receives that as a sign to continue his previous spiel.
“no matter what anyone says,” he interlaces one of his hands with y/n’s and peppers several featherlike kisses to her knuckles, “you are my world. your happiness is my happiness, your sadness is my sadness, and your love is my love. i don’t want to face the world alone anymore.” tears again pool in her eyes, not from apprehension, but pure joy and adoration over chan’s heartfelt confession.
“i’m not that special, m-maybe one day you’ll wake up and realise you settled for me over your dream…” y/n was not one to express her self doubts openly to chan, and those words evoke a protective side in him; confident to prove her worth to him.
chan scoffs, “settle? that might be how you see it, but i’ve had the pleasure of knowing you for years, and you’ve only given me more reasons to love life. i’m convinced i’ve loved you in a past lifetime, and we’re reuniting again to continue that same love. let me be the one to teach you all things to love about you. whatever problems arise, we’ll solve them together." y/n grew speechless, hearing chan profess such deep feelings broke down her walls of insecurity, his words were an emergence of light nearing the end of a dark tunnel.
"you are my dream."
chan's gaze holds a degree of fondness that has y/n crumbling into his arms, her knees buckle and she falls forward, pinning him against the mattress. the action alone flusters both of them as they blush in unison, red blooming from chan’s neck all the way up to his ears as a wildfire of pink spans across y/n’s cheeks.
“getting down to business already, mulan?” chan shyly bites, breaking the tense atmosphere between them.
“speak for yourself, i felt that.” y/n abashedly retorts as she straightens herself to stand up, and chan is quick to fish the velvet box from his pocket before raising his hands in the air.
“i'm innocent!” laughter erupts from the pair as chan engulfs y/n in a joyous hug.
“that’s a yes though, right?” he pulls back and y/n nods profusely, “yes in this lifetime, and in the next.”
chan stands, his arms encircle y/n’s waist as he captures her lips with his; molding together perfectly in reciprocal affection and devotion.
the memory sets y/n’s heart ablaze as excitement courses through her veins. consumed by the need to feel even closer than they impossibly were, y/n untucks his hand from beneath her singlet to turn over and cuddle further into her husband’s hold.
chan stirs, a hazy smile dances on his lips, “comfortable, baby?” he mumbles, sleep dripping from each word.
“always in your arms, my prince. i love you,” y/n replies, reverently pressing a soft peck to his lips.
notes; i finally pieced together the prompt, after rewriting it and revising it over the past few days. i can't say i feel like the outcome matched my original idea. i was definitely not surprised bang chan won the poll for a comfort fic. thank you once again to everyone who votes, leaves nice comments and reblogs; you're all greatly appreciated. i hope you enjoyed this piece too!

“Babe, wake up,” Chan said as he caressed your cheek.
Opening your eyes, you realized that the jet had already landed. You must’ve been so tired from work that you fell asleep the entire way there. As Chan took off your seatbelt for you, you stretched your arms and yawned while standing up. It was weird. Chan was being sweet like how he was back in the days you both were dating...
“Where are we?” you asked while rubbing your eyes.
“We’re in your favorite place, baby.”
My favorite place? You thought to yourself. You didn’t have any favorite place. Home with the kids was your favorite place, but you’d already left home to come to wherever this place was.
“Come on, babe, let’s go,” Chan said standing near the jet door with his hand out towards you. What else could you do? Chan was being weird, but you didn’t have a choice since you were already here. Grabbing his hand, he began leading you out.
“Oh! Wait,” Chan said as he pulled something from his coat pocket. They were your sunglasses… your favorite pair. You hadn’t worn them since your honeymoon with Chan. They’d been sitting in your drawer at home collecting dust since you both hadn’t been able to go on vacation after having kids and being busy at work. That was ages ago. Time really does fly by fast.
While you were too busy being stunned, Chan suddenly put the sunglasses on you. You looked up at him. He was smiling and adoring you, then suddenly kissed your forehead. You let a small smile form on your lips and looked down with a small blush forming on your cheeks. As you were about to look up, Chan reached his hand out to brush your hair out of your face.
“This too,” he said as he pulled out a hair clip from his pocket. He clipped your hair back the way you always did when you were cooking or doing something that needed your full attention. “You look beautiful as always, baby.” Those were such simple words that made your heart beat faster. It had been so long since you’ve felt Chan’s hands caress you like this. It wasn’t much, but it was something you both hadn’t felt in so long. “Come on, let’s go,” he said as he took your hand from your side and led you through the open jet door. You were greeted with the setting sun on the horizon, the feeling of slightly humid air, and beautiful greenery as you stepped out of the jet. This was a familiar feeling…
This was the private island Chan had bought as a gift for you as your wedding gift. You’d told him that buying an island for yourself to live on as you grew older was the one thing that you always dreamed of, and he did that as a gift to you for your wedding gift. You were on the verge of tears. You’d been so busy at work that you forgot about your island. Chan was right. This was your favorite place… your safe haven.
As Chan helped you down the last step, he asked cautiously, “Are you okay, babe?”
“Yeah… I’m just surprised we’re here…” you said as you looked at his worried eyes.
“Okay… What do you wanna do, hmm? Go to the waters? Eat lunch?”
“Let’s get settled in first, then we’ll decide what we wanna do,” you said as you led the way to the beach house.
There wasn’t anyone around. Usually, there were at least one or two workers, but there wasn’t anyone on the island.
Reading your concerned body language, Chan knew what you were thinking. “I told the workers that they could leave for the next week.”
“Why?” you asked. “So we can have the island to ourselves, what else?” Chan said as he unlocked the front door to the beach house.
Walking through the house made you reminisce every memory you made with Chan. The many times you both made love, held each other, and spoke in the dark about your future plans as a couple. Every memory played throughout your mind as you walked by every room on the way to the master bedroom.
Pushing the doors open, you saw the very bed you and Chan had first made love. You took a deep breath as you pushed the thought to the back of your head. Although you loved Chan, no matter what, you weren’t going to forget everything just because he brought you to your favorite place. Anyone could say you were stubborn in your ways, but what you went through had to be spoken through with Chan who’d been following behind you through every room and space as well. He hadn’t said anything, but you knew what he was thinking.
“I’m gonna take a bath,” you said as you made your way to the bathroom.
“Oh… okay. Do you want to eat anything?” Chan asked watching you walk away.
“No, I’m not hungry.”
You lied. You were starving. It was killing you, but you didn’t want to be an inconvenience to Chan. Especially not since the argument. It killed you that there was an unspoken silence among the two of you. It was ridiculous, really. You were both grown adults who were supposed to be in a compromising marriage, but here you were barely speaking to each other. Chan made you happy, but during hard times, it didn’t seem like he was happy with you. That was where things got hard for the both of you.
Your thoughts were interrupted as your timer went off letting you know to get out of the bath before you turned into a wrinkly prune. As you grabbed your towel to dry yourself off, you had slipped off the ledge of the bathtub with a huge thud. Hearing the loud thud, Chan ran to the bedroom asking if you were okay and waiting for a response. You’d hurt your knee from the fall, but it wasn’t anything too serious. While you were trying to get up, Chan had already opened the door and saw you naked on the bathroom floor.
“Are you okay??”
“Obviously,” you said with some attitude while trying to reach for the towel on the wall.
“Don’t move,” Chan demanded as you looked at him with curious eyes as he ran out of the bathroom.
You listened to him, though. What if there was a bug on you? You checked your surroundings but didn’t see anything either. Looking up, you saw that Chan was running back with the first aid kit in his hands.
“What the-” you said before Chan lifted your naked body to sit on the edge of the bathtub.
“Sit still,” he said while assessing your knee. It was bleeding. You hadn’t even realized. You were too busy being stubborn that Chan walked in on you naked and helplessly reaching for your towel that you hadn’t realized your knee must’ve scraped something on the way down. You started covering your body as you realized how bare you were in front of Chan.
“Don’t worry, baby. It’s not like I haven’t seen all of you yet,” he teased while smiling lightly.
“I’m not covering up my body because of that!” You tried to argue back.
“Oh really?” he asked looking up at your face.
“Y-yes…” you lied while trying to hide the faint blush on your face. “It’s because I’m cold.”
“Oh?... I thought you took such hot baths and showers that you actually aren’t cold after you come out for awhile.”
Damn it! He knew you so well you couldn’t even lie to his face.
“Don’t worry, babe. I’m just taking care of your knee. I won’t look if you don’t want me to.”
After applying an ointment and band-aid to your knee, Chan looked up at you with a faint smile on his face, “There. All done. Does your knee still hurt?”
While trying to stand up, you tumbled a bit because your knee was still sore, but not in too much pain. Chan caught you just as you were about to fall.
Pushing him away, you brushed him off with “I’m okay.”
“It doesn’t seem like it,” he retorted.
“If I say that I’m fine then I’m fine!”
You could tell Chan was a bit hurt from your remark, but there wasn’t anything that made you angrier than now. Was he just doing this to “make up” his lame ass actions from the previous months? Was he doing this to distract you from the fact that he could be cheating on you? Your thoughts were swirling so fast around your head that if it were a cartoon you’d be seeing stars circle your head.
As you took the towel off the wall and walked into the bedroom, you sat on the bed while checking your knee. Chan was always so good at taking care of you whenever you were hurt. But just seeing you physically was all that he could see; he couldn’t see that you were hurting inside as well. You missed the times where he would come and tell you he loved you every day and do small things to make you feel loved. It truly was the small things that you missed from him.
You’d been in the bathroom for so long you didn’t even realize that the sun was already gone for the day. You were still starving. Your stomach started to rumble.
“You’re hungry, aren’t you?” you heard Chan’s voice come from the bathroom door.
“I-” you started to protest.
“I already cooked us some dinner while you were in the bathroom. Get dressed and come out when you’re ready.”
He wasn’t happy with you. He never was. It just made your heart sink. Chan was actually trying to fix your marriage, but you were the one who was pushing him away. It just made you feel even worse about your attitude, but you both needed to find a middle ground for your everyday life-not just when you were on vacation without the kids or worries from work.
After getting dressed, you walked into the kitchen. It smelled amazing. You saw that Chan had cooked your favorite pasta. You were secretly excited, but you knew that Chan wasn’t too happy with you right now.
“I hope you don’t mind that I cooked the pasta. I’m not that great at cooking it like you do, but I just wanted to make something to make you happy,” Chan said as he pulled the chair out for you to sit on.
“It’s okay. I appreciate it,” you said while showing a slight smile to try and make Chan a bit happier than before. He shared a smile with you before walking to the other end of the table to sit.
“How’re you feeling now?” Chan asked as he dug into the pasta on his plate.
“I’m feeling okay…” what else were supposed to say?? No, don’t talk to me? Ugh it was too hard to be married sometimes.
“But?...” Chan said as he looked up after taking a bite.
There was a long pause before you began speaking. What were you going to say? The last argument hadn’t even been solved and you didn’t even want to bring up another topic to argue about with him, but-
“Are you cheating on me?” you blurted out before you could even think.
Chuckling to himself before looking at you, Chan smiled at you.
“Y/N, if I don’t even have time for you, my wife, why would I have time for another woman?”
“Just because you don’t have time for me doesn’t mean that you can’t give the attention to another woman,” you snapped back.
“Okay, you’re right, but you know that I wouldn’t do that to you. You’re the mother of my two beautiful kids, you’re everything I’ve wanted in my life. You’re literally the embodiment of who I dreamed of marrying. I don’t know why-”
“Then why don’t you treat me like it?” That was it. You’d been holding back for too long. It took too much space in your mind. You were going to solve the problem now or else you were going to lose your mind.
“I’m trying, babe-”
“Bringing me on vacation isn’t going to cut it, Chan. We can’t just do this every time we argue it’s ridiculous that-”
“That what?” Chan said looking you dead in the eyes. “That I’m trying to be a good husband? That I’m trying to be a better man? I know that I fucked up, Y/N. I know that I fucked up for the past few months, but I don’t think that we should just leave our marriage broken. You act like I haven’t been trying lately!”
“I never said that! I’m just asking you why you’ve been neglecting me, your wife, for God knows how long!” was all you could say before tears started rolling down your face. It was all out now. No holding back. No more secrets hidden. No more bottling things up.
As Chan saw the tears on your face, he reached over to wipe them away. Before he could touch your face, you whacked his hand away.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” you said as you stood up and walked outside toward the beach.
“Y/N! Wait! Where are you going?”
“Don’t talk to me! Don’t act like you care, Chan!”
“What are you talking about?! Y/N please. We need to talk this out. Tell me how you’re feeling, why you’re feeling like this, and what I can do to make you happier,” he said while following you onto the white sandy shore.
“Nothing, Chan! Nothing! That’s what you can do to make me happier!” you yelled while still turned away from him.
“Y/N, stop! Look at me!” he said while pulling your arm so he could have your full attention.
“What, Chan?! What the fuck more do you need from me?!”
“I need you to communicate what you’re feeling, Y/N. That’s what I need you to fucking do so that I can salvage this marriage,” he said sternly while looking at you straight in the eyes.
You could have any kind of attitude, but you knew that when Chan had enough, it was enough-especially when he wouldn’t move his gaze away from your face.
“What I want? I want you to be my husband, Chan! I want you to love me the way you did when we first got married. I want you to love me the way you promised you would when we were in love! Where’s the Chan I fell in love with? Do you even know who I am anymore? Am I nothing more than just your children’s mother? Where’s the man I made love to and shared secrets with on a daily basis? Do you even love me, Chan?!” was all you could say before tears started rolling down your face again. You couldn’t handle being so emotional, but it had been too long since you’ve been open with your emotions that it brought everything you were thinking out.
Chan started walking closer and closer to you, but you backed away, wary of his touch.
“I do love you, Y/N. There’s no one I want more than you. You’re all that I need. I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry that I’ve been such a shitty ass husband these past few months. I’m sorry that I haven’t been showing you as much love, okay? I’m so sorry, babe. Please, forgive me,” Chan said as he got on his knees and hugged your waist. You couldn’t do anything but cry your eyes out. It had been too long. It wasn’t what you wanted, but it’s the only thing that could suffice.
“Let go, Chan,” you said as you tried to pry his arms away from your waist.
“No. I’m not going to let you go anywhere. You’re everything I need, Y/N. You’re my rock. You’re the only woman I need in this world. I’m sorry that I’m such a horrible husband that I couldn’t see you were struggling as well. I’m sorry that I’ve been so selfish. Please, Y/N, let me fix this. Let’s fix our marriage. I don’t care what happens as long as I have you with me. I need you here with me, Y/N,” Chan protested while firmly holding your waist to his chest. His chest was heaving. He was crying. Chan rarely cried.
You both were on the sand for who knows how long. You knew that you’d been so stubborn, but you’d been hurt for so long that it felt like a huge burden had been lifted from your shoulders this time. It was a great relief, but now it was time to build your relationship to become even stronger together than before. It was only a matter of time before you grabbed Chan’s arms trying to get out of his strong grip again.
“I told you, I’m not letting go,” Chan pouted against your stomach, “I’m gonna stay here until you forgive me and promise to not leave me.”
With a small smile forming on your lips, you just say, “Babe… I know that it’s been hard, but we need to go inside. I’m getting cold out here. The ocean breeze isn’t helping either.”
“No. Not until you say that you forgive me. I’m not going anywhere without you in this world, Y/N. I don’t care if you run away. I’m gonna look for you wherever you go. You’re the better part of me that I need to survive in this world. I-”
“Okay, okay. I forgive you, babe.”
“No. You’re just saying it so I’ll let you go. You’re not saying it with your whole heart,” Chan said while still holding you tightly.
You pushed his head back as you looked him straight in the eyes and said to him, “I forgive you, baby. We’ll just need to work on strengthening our marriage now, okay?”
Before you could say anything else, Chan got up from the sand and kissed your lips.
“Good. That’s what I wanted to hear,” he said while carrying you bridal style to the house.
“Where are we going?” you asked as he walked past the kitchen.
“We’re gonna make baby number three,” Chan said with a serious face.
“We have to clean the kitchen, babe. It’s dirty!” you said as you smacked his arm.
“I don’t care. I’ve missed having you all to myself. Can’t I just have you all to myself for once? Hmm?” Chan hummed against your ear.
You couldn’t deny the fire burning in you. You and Chan had barely made love since a few months after you had Eli. After that, it was either just a quickie or something you didn’t want to do. This was a side of you that you’d neglected for so long, it felt impossible to be wanting to make love with Chan again.
Chan set you on the edge of the bed like you were a fine China doll that would break at any moment. As he began peeling your clothing off, you stopped him before he could take off your shirt.
“Can we turn the lights off, Chan?”
“What do you mean, baby?” he asked, eyes full of concern.
“My body’s not in the best shape right now… and I’d rather we do this in the dark than have you see everything,” you explained.
“Oh baby,” Chan said as he started kissing every inch of your body, “I want to explore every inch of your body like a starving man. I want to make sure I see every crevice, every scar, every mole on your body. There’s nothing more I would beg for right now.”
“But I-” you tried to argue against him.
“I don’t care what it is that you hate about your body, baby. I love every inch of you. I wanna make you scream my name until your lungs give out. I wanna make you love yourself even more. I wanna give you all that I can this entire week. I’m gonna make sure you know that you’re loved and that you’re everything I need. How about we keep the lights dim so that I can make sure you’re actually enjoying everything I do, hmm?”
There was no denying that Chan was great with his words. He made you feel safe no matter what. You wanted to protest, but his mouth was too good at what he was doing, so you nodded your head in agreement.
While walking back after dimming the lights, Chan started peeling every article of clothing off your body. When he got to your bra and underwear, he just stared at you from the edge of the bed. You were so self-conscious that you tried to cover yourself up. Before you could manage to cover anything, Chan pulled your arms above your head.
“Wow, baby. I didn’t know you’d be wearing this lingerie set out of all sets,” he said while nibbling on your neck.
“I didn’t have a choice, Chan. It’s not like you packed the most comfortable clothing for me to wear while on vacation.”
“I know… that’s the point, baby.” You could feel him smirk against your skin as his lips travelled down your body.
Before you could make a smart remark, Chan had already reached behind your back to unbuckle your bra with one hand while the other caressed your waist. The cold air made your nipples stand, causing you to whine under your breath.
Chan started making his way down your chest, creating marks to make sure you knew who you belonged to the next day. He took one breast in his mouth and started massaging the other. Chan started flicking his tongue against your nipple. Light but effective kisses, nibbles, and licks were enough to make you moan. Chan switched from one breast to the other while all you could do was remain helplessly moaning and whining under your breath.
“Don’t hold back, baby. There’s no one here who’s gonna hear you,” Chan reassured you.
“I know… I’m just so used to being quiet around the kids at home,” you explained.
“Well,” he started as he moved back up to be face to face with you, “just know that I wanna hear every noise from that beautiful mouth of yours.”
Blushing at his words, you could only whine slightly while pushing your face into the pillow beside you.
“That’s what I like to hear, baby,” Chan said as he started kissing lower towards your stomach and pelvis.
“Babe, stop teasing,” you whined even louder.
All Chan could do was hum against your skin as he took careful measures to kiss your stretch marks you’d gotten from pregnancy.
“No, don’t do that,” you said as you tried pushing his head away.
Chan pushed away your hands and tucked them under your back. “I’m gonna do whatever I want to make your body feel worshipped, baby. So you better keep your hands behind your back or else I’m gonna have to make you suffer tonight. Got it?”
Without a word, you looked down and nodded your head.
“Good,” he said as he continued worshipping your body.
Chan started travelling down lower and lower as he got above your underwear, his hot breath fanning against your core.
“Baby, please,” you whined while still struggling to keep your hands behind your ass.
Chan licked a stripe above your clothed core, making you thrust your hips into the air.
You didn’t know what to think anymore. It felt like it’d been forever since Chan and you had made love. This was something so intimate you couldn’t describe it. No words would’ve given justice to how Chan made you feel in this moment.
There were so many emotions flooding through your brain, you hadn’t realized that Chan already stripped you of your underwear too. You felt so exposed, it was getting even harder not to hide your face in the pillows.
“Don’t be shy, baby. Show me that beautiful face of yours,” Chan encouraged you.
You could only smile with your eyes closed while you lifted your head from the pillows.
“Aww, my baby’s becoming more confident isn’t she? I’ll make sure you feel every inch of your body is loved.”
These words Chan was whispering were like a drug to your ego. It made you willing to do whatever it was to make him happy. It made you willing to please every inch of him as well. Even though he was willing to please you eternally, you knew that he deserved every inch of love he needed as well.
Chan began kissing your inner thighs as he drew closer and closer to your soaking core. You writhed under his mouth but could only succumb to him. He began by attacking your throbbing clit, sucking and lightly tugging.
It was hard not trying to move your arms away, but it was something you’d learned to never do with Chan. They don’t say time teaches you everything you need to know for no reason.
Chan continued on and pried open your dripping core. He then inserted two fingers and began fingering your core with a come-hither motion. You arched your back as you tried to hold back your moans and whines while he kept hitting your g-spot.
“I told you to stop holding back,” Chan said right as he smacked your thigh.
Letting out a yelp, you moved your arms from behind your back as you reached out to stop him from smacking your thigh again. Chan’s reflexes were fast enough to stop your hand and put it behind your back again.
“Chan, please. I need-”
“I don’t care how hard you beg to not feel good tonight, baby. It’s gonna be your pleasure or nothing at all,” Chan said as he attacked your throbbing clit again.
You could feel your high coming closer and closer, wanting to release.
“Chan-Cha-please, I-”
“Are you gonna cum for me, baby?”
Nodding your head with your eyes closed and head thrown back, Chan smiled to himself while he kissed your parting lips.
“Yeah? My baby wants to cum hmm? Cum for me then, baby. Let me hear you,” Chan encouraged while still fingering and kissing you.
That was enough to set you off on your first high for the night. You felt your body tense, the pain in your core was too much to handle. You grabbed the sheets of the bed, gasping slightly at the lost feeling. You felt your back arch in response to Chan’s mouth on you, then you felt your release. You shuddered slightly as you came down from your high. It wasn’t the most intense orgasm you’d ever had, but it was the more intense ones since you and Chan had started to drift apart.
Chan cooed while nibbling at your collarbone. “Good job, babygirl. There’s so many more rounds we have to go through to finish tonight.”
Whining, you just laid there still a mess. You could barely open your eyes. It was more intense than you could handle since it’d been so long since you’d been intimate with Chan.
Chan began kissing your body and worshipping it again, until he felt a tug at his pants. You were trying to seductively take off his pants while being under his control.
“My baby’s a bit needy, hmm?”
“Please Chan. It’s been too long since we’ve had time for this,” you whimpered as he stared at your exposed body.
“I know, baby, but I don’t want to rush it tonight,” he explained.
“I don’t care. I just need you,” those were the last words to come out of your mouth before he began taking off his clothes. Something about you begging and whining made Chan’s dick harder than before. Chan began kissing you and holding your jaw in his hand and pulling your hair into a ponytail, getting rougher and rougher while you took everything he gave you breathlessly.
Chan lifted you up so you both were on your knees on the bed, making out and feeling each other’s bodies. You grabbed his cock in your hand and ran your palm against it, causing Chan to slightly thrust toward you. You weren’t the only desperate one who hadn’t been touched in awhile.
“I don’t think you want to do that, babygirl,” Chan growled in a low tone.
“I think I do,” you said teasingly.
“If that’s the case, then start sucking,” he said as he adjusted himself to lay against the headboard and pillows while you lay in between his legs to begin administering to his needs.
You quickly followed Chan’s body language and began by taking his balls into your mouth, sucking on them lightly, lapping them like a little puppy while maintaining eye contact with him. Chan threw his head back while mumbling so many “don’t stop’s” and “keep going’s.” Taking your sweet time giving him a blowjob by tracing your tongue against the underside of his cock, you could feel him shiver under your touch, and placed kisses along his cock until you reached the tip. You began to lick his tip, spreading his precum with your tongue.
Finally, you put his cock in your mouth after a few more minutes of teasing. Your mouth was filled, but Chan kept pushing your head lower and lower onto his cock causing you to slightly gag and choke. This was barely anything though, since you and Chan had even had more intense sex…I mean…how did you even have kids if your sex wasn’t intense?.... (just saying…anywayssss)
Before you knew it, Chan was thrusting against the back of your throat vigorously, making you choke even more causing tears to begin falling down your cheeks.
“Yes, baby. Y-yes. Take it just like that. Take it like the good girl you are,” Chan praised you making you attempt to take him even deeper into your throat. You wanted to make him cum no matter what now. You knew he was on the verge of cumming, but he was just so good at holding back and being patient. You were going to make him cum regardless of how deep you had to deep throat his cock.
So you relaxed your jaw and went to work to make him have an everlasting orgasm. Relaxing your jaw helped you take more of his cock into your mouth, and so you were able to take him deeper to the point where your nose hit his pelvis. He was going to cum any minute now. You just knew it.
Having your nose to his pelvis was the tip of the iceberg for him as Chan tried pulling your head up and off his cock as he came undone in your mouth. You were relentless and moved his hands from your head as you held his waist and tried to take even more of his cock than you ever had. Chan’s moans were heavenly to hear as he continued to release more and more cum inside your mouth while his hands came back and found a place in your locks, pulling them and pushing your head down since you wanted it so bad.
His cum tasted sweet. That meant Chan was still drinking his pineapple juice daily. You both had made a pact to drink pineapple juice daily to make sure your juices tasted sweet for each other, but that was ages ago. You were surprised he kept up with the routine. You appreciated it, really. You were only able to keep up by drinking one small carton of pineapple juice every week.
After Chan came undone in your mouth, you began to slowly pull off his cock causing him to slightly growl and hiss from his throbbing cock finally being released. You then wiped your mouth from his cum spilling out alongside your drool.
“My baby wanted to be naughty and keep going, didn’t she?” Chan asked while looking down at you. All you could do was nod in agreement, eyes never leaving his. He wasn’t wrong, but you just wanted to please him since it’d been so long. “Well then…it looks like my baby needs to be dicked down for being so good to daddy and letting daddy release hmm?” he asked in a higher pitched tone, slightly mocking you.
“Yes, sir,” you stated as you made your way on top of Chan, straddling him. You began nibbling at his neck, kissing and licking his earlobes while he continued rocking your hips and clit against his abs and pelvis. Moaning, you couldn’t help but whimper louder and louder as he kept moving your hips faster and faster. Then, it all stopped. Confused, you stopped kissing him and looked up at him.
“Sit on my cock,” Chan demanded. All you could do was follow his orders. Chan was starting to get even more serious now since he wanted you to be pleased with his show tonight. As you sunk onto his cock, you could feel it filling you up inch by inch. You moaned and shut your eyes as you took in the full experience. Chan’s cock was so red and hard, the pressure against your walls made you breathless.
You began lifting yourself to please Chan, but he stopped your hips and held you down. He started moving your hips again, causing you to rub your clit against his pelvis while his cock was hitting your g spot. He really was trying to please you, not himself; being the selfless person that he is, you weren’t surprised. You wanted to please him, make him happy, but he really was going to make you reach another universe with his determination. And when Chan’s determined… nothing really stands in his way.
Chan grabbed one of your breasts, massaging it while sucking on the other, making you throw your head back in pleasure. The more Chan kept going, you felt another high coming, begging to release from your body. Your body started tensing, causing you to slightly shiver from your nerves reacting to Chan’s stimulation. By now, Chan was already marking your neck and collarbone with more hickies.
Whispering against your skin and looking up at you he asked, “You gonna cum for me, baby?”
“Ye-Yes,” you mumbled under your breath right as Chan lifted you from his lap and began rubbing your clit faster than when he was moving your hips.
“Ch-Chan! Chan!” you muttered while trying to move his hand away. Wrong move. Frustrated, Chan grabbed both of your arms and held them behind your back with one hand while going back to rubbing your swollen clit.
Gasping for air, you couldn’t hold your orgasm in any longer.
“Chan, I-I can’t-”
“Cum for me, baby. Be a good girl and cum for me, yeah?”
Your second high was finally released, causing you to throw your head back, and making you breathlessly and mindlessly rub your clit against Chan’s hand searching for more friction. Exhausted, you laid your head against Chan’s broad shoulders while he continued caressing your body and kissing you.
“Look at the mess you made, baby,” Chan said while smirking against the back of your ear.
Looking down, you realized that you’d squirted from the overstimulation. Blushing, you tried removing yourself from Chan’s body. You failed when he pulled you back into his arms by your waist. Struggling to get away, you started whining while turning your head away from his eyes.
“Aww, is my baby shy because I made her squirt? Hmm?” Chan asked teasingly while moving your loose strands of hair from your face.
Nodding in agreement, you just looked down. Pulling your face by the jaw to look up at him, Chan demanded, “Look at me, and use your words, baby. There’s nothing to be shy about. It’s just me. Understood?”
“Yes, sir,” you said while looking up to meet his eyes, causing you to blush even more.
“Good girl,” Chan complimented you before flipping you under him.
You didn’t even realize what happened, just that Chan was hovering above you, cradling your head in between his arms and complimenting your beauty while continuously kissing your body beginning from the top.
“You’re so beautiful, baby. Don’t doubt my love for you,” a kiss to your throat.
“I’m sorry I can be such a shitty husband at times,” a kiss to each breast.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been here to help you around the house and with the kids,” a kiss to your stomach.
“I love you, you know that?” a kiss to your pelvis.
“There’s nothing I could do if you weren’t—”
“Chan…” you said while looking down and meeting his innocent eyes. “Can you just fuck me like you did when we were on our honeymoon?”
You saw a change in Chan’s eyes. The lust grew between the both of you.
“Your wish is my command, my beautiful queen,” Chan said before spreading your legs wide open.
Embarrassed, you tried closing your legs. It’d been too long.
“Aww, my poor baby is shy after asking me to fuck the soul out of her hmm? I don’t think so,” he said while spreading your legs again.
You couldn’t help but succumb to his actions while pushing your head into the pillows on the bed to hide your red face.
Chan slowly teased you while trying to make sure you were wet enough for him. After spreading your juices around with his cock, your patience was thinner than before. Not only was he teasing you, but your body couldn’t help but react to his cock lightly touching your clit with every stroke.
“Babe, stopppppp-” you whined before you felt Chan fully fill you up, causing you to lightly gasp.
It surprised you, but you liked the surprise. Chan was always full of surprises when you were in bed. He began slowly thrusting inside you, hitting your g spot while kissing your body. You threw your head back in even more pleasure. With being overstimulated and having already came twice, what more could you ask for?
Whispering sweet nothings into your ear, Chan began thrusting faster and faster. You began feeling your third orgasm build up. With a few yeses and a few gasps, Chan knew you were getting close and began rubbing your clit to help with the stimulation building up. You started gripping the bedsheets while your legs began trembling.
“Cum for me one last time, baby,” Chan encouraged you while thrusting harder and faster into your drenched cunt.
You wrapped your legs around his waist as he continued his ministrations.
“Chan-Chan!” you quietly screamed as you came. Your body convulsed, causing you to arch your back and throw your head back deeper into the pillows. Chan began kissing in between your breasts and holding your hips tightly against his as he came.
“Fu-Fuck, baby!” was all Chan could say before a stream of moans came following yours as he came inside you. His thrusts were strong and felt never-ending as his hands grabbed your hips even tighter. Those hands were definitely going to leave bruises for you to enjoy tomorrow.
As Chan came down from his high, he collapsed onto your body. His head was on your chest as you both slowly came down from your highs. Chan held you there, enveloping you in his massive arms while you held his head in your arms, rubbing his sweaty strands of hair away from his forehead and neck.
“Was that as good as the honeymoon, baby?” Chan asked cheekily while smiling.
“Hmm… I mean… I think it could’ve been better, but-”
“But what??” Chan pouted as he began lifting his head to look at you. “I’m definitely way more experienced now compared to when we first got married, you know? I don’t think-”
“I’m kidding, babe. Calm down,” you said while forcing his head back onto your chest.
After a few more moments of silence, Chan began speaking again.
“I’m sorry for not being here for you, baby-” he started.
“It’s fine, baby. We’ve both been busy and working isn’t helping much, but we’ve come so far, and-”
“No, Y/N. This isn’t okay, and I want you to know that I’m sorry for being so shitty as your husband. I wanna make you happy, baby. I’m really sorry I couldn’t be the husband I promised you when we got married,” Chan interrupted.
“It takes two to make a marriage fall apart, Chan. I should’ve let you know how I was feeling instead of holding it in as well. I’m sorry too, and I accept your apology since you’re so keen on me listening to your apology.”
Nuzzling closer into your chest, Chan whispered “good.”
You felt a bit uncomfortable as your bladder needed to release.
“Babe, can you move please?”
“Why?” Chan asked. Before you could answer, he remembered. “—Oh, because you need to pee. Here, let me take you.” Before you could muster any protest, Chan had already gotten up and pulled you by your ankles to the edge of the bed. With a small yelp from you, Chan pulled the rest of your legs toward him, turning you to your side to carry you bridal style toward the bathroom.
“What?” Chan asked while looking down at your red and sulky face.
“I could’ve done that myself,” you pouted with your arms around his neck.
“Too bad, baby. I’m your husband, and I’m gonna do everything to make you happy,” he smiled as he plopped you onto the toilet.
“Can you turn away?” you asked him as he stared at you like a lost puppy waiting for its owner.
“You’re just peeing, Y/N. It’s nothing big. It’s pretty normal for a human being to pee. Are you embarrassed? Cause if that’s the case, we need to—”
“Chan. I. Need. My. Privacy. Please,” you said sternly while staring at him dead in the eyes.
“I mean…I’ve seen everything already, but if that’s the case then I’ll just go,” he said longingly while taking his sweet time closing the door.
Feeling your pee come, you had enough of his shenanigans and threw a roll of toilet paper at him.
“Ha! You missed!” Chan yelled as he quickly shut the door to avoid any more objects being thrown at him.
After handling your business, you got up to wash your hands at the sink outside of the bathroom (sinks are usually outside of the toilet area in bigger houses). While washing your hands, Chan appeared behind you admiring your figure.
“Can you not look at me like that?” you asked.
“Why? This is all mine, why can’t I enjoy it, hmm?” he asked as he began pulling you into his embrace with your back against his chest.
“I don’t look young anymore, Chan. And if you haven’t figured, I’ve gained so much weight—”
“Hey, don’t say that, hmm? We’re both growing old, and we’re gonna gain weight and have hunchbacks one day. We’re not gonna stay young forever. That’s boring, yeah?” he asked you.
Chan had always been so sweet with you. Even when you would be angry, he’d give you words to calm you down and make you slightly happier than before. You both had small differences that filled each other’s cracks, and that’s what made you both click so well from the beginning.
“Okay,” you complied as he reached down toward your legs.
“What are you—Chan!”
“I’m fulfilling my husband duties,” Chan said as he picked you up bridal style and brought you to one of the guest bedrooms in the house.
“Where are we going?” you asked.
“You squirted on the bed, baby. We are not going to sleep on the soaked sheets, no matter how dirty we are while making love, I’d love to sleep on dry sheets for the night,” he teased.
“Oh shut up-” you said while slightly punching his shoulder.
With a chuckle, Chan opened the door to the guest room and turned on the lamp on one side of the bed.
While putting you down onto the bed, he pulled the sheets over your cuddling bare bodies. You started to feel cold and nuzzled closer into Chan’s chest, wanting more of his body heat against your body.
Today had worn you out. It was more ideal than anything you could ask for. Leave it to Chan to make you the happiest woman in the world. No one could ever top him. You knew he knew that as well.
“I love you, Y/N,” Chan whispered against your forehead.
“I love you too, Chan,” you whispered back.
“You’re everything I’m gonna need to live this life, baby. There’s nothing that can change the way I feel about you.”
“I know. You can’t live without me,” you teased him.
After a small giggle fit, he pulled you even closer to his body while quietly agreeing, “I know. That’s why I always come home to you. You’re my safe haven when I have hard times. You see my bad sides and still love me. I love you so much, Y/N. Thank you for loving me.”
“Thank you for loving me too, Chan,” you kissed against his lips.
“You’re so beautiful, you know? There’s no one who can turn me on like you. Not just that, but every time I see you smile, it makes me feel like a little kindergartener seeing his crush every morning at school. And, you make me feel so loved and safe when I come home. Thank you for everything, Y/N. You’re literally the woman I’ve always needed in my life. I just love everything about you. I—” Chan blabbered as he cut himself off while looking down at you.
You had fallen asleep after thanking Chan--before he started blabbering. Smiling to himself, he brushed the piece of hair that was creeping up against the side of your face-threatening to cover your eyes. Kissing your forehead one last time, he whispered another “I love you” before fixing himself to sleep as well.

Y/N really should have been paying attention to the intricate storyline of the TV show she had settled down to watch with her husband; Chan had already rewinded the episode three times, and she knew that number would soon increase. It was the sort of show that required her utmost attention, lest she miss another crucial bit of information. But regardless, Y/N couldn't help it when her mind began wandering for the umpteenth time as she traced her fingertips over Chan's.
Chan's hair tickled the side of Y/N's neck as he adjusted his temple against his wife's shoulder. The soft weight of his head was oddly reassuring to Y/N, as was the pitter patter of raindrops on the window. The couple hadn't bothered to draw the curtains of their bedroom yet, instead choosing to reside amongst the violet light of night-time, and the downpour outside cascaded elongated shadows across their bedsheets. They licked the side of Chan's face and painted him with comical shapes, and Y/N smiled as she secretly peered down at him.
She traced the edge of his wedding ring with the tip of her fingernail. The metal was cold against her skin, a stark contrast between the fierce heat of his fingers. Y/N smiled softly at the familiarity of the man's hands against her own. She felt as though she loved his hands twice as much as he hated them; something about the way his fingers were slender but wider at the knuckles was incredibly endearing to her, as was the rough yet soft texture of his skin. He didn't wear his wedding ring often due to the shape of his fingers; he found it uncomfortable. And Y/N didn't mind either. They had both always agreed their love and respect for each other was worth more than a piece of metal, as beautiful as the rings were. But on the occasions when Chan did wear it - particularly when they were in public - Y/N knew he wore it purely to make her happy. It was almost like his silent way of telling people on the outside that he was hers; he belonged to her, and it would always remain that way.
Her cheeks pink, Y/N laid her own head atop Chan's. The man gently nuzzled his hair against her cheek in acknowledgement, his hand slipping out of her playful fingers and instead slowly entwining with hers.
Y/N smiled. Their fingers always fit perfectly together.
"Do you ever think about like … " Y/N began, her quiet words trailing off as she started to think again. "How … we're … married?"
Chan's shoulders shook against hers. "What?"
Grinning, Y/N prompted further. "Like … we chose to spend our whole entire lives together. Isn't that weird?"
His laughter silent, Chan lifted his head. "Is it?"
Y/N shrugged. "Don't you think so? I mean … we were complete strangers at one point. We were completely random people. You could have … been … I don't know, a serial killer, or something. Can you imagine?"
Chuckling at his wife, Chan widened his eyes in mockery. "You're so right, baby … I mean, you could have been a really bad kisser."
Y/N sighed at him.
"Or, you could have been really bad at cuddling … what a disappointment that would have been."
"Chris."
Sitting up properly, Chan stretched his arms above his head as he resumed his chuckling; they looked like bird wings, and he groaned loudly before dropping his limbs into his lap again.
"Can someone be bad at cuddling?" Y/N asked then, suddenly curious.
"I don't know. Maybe? I think some people are really awkward," Chan yawned as he rested his head back against his wife's shoulder. His hands returned into the grip of Y/N's, and this time, it was he who started playing with her fingers. "I don't know what I'd have done if you were bad at cuddling."
He broke into a fit of quiet giggles as Y/N shook her head at him. She lapsed into a mild silence before the man started to speak again, his voice slightly wistful.
"I do. Think about it," Chan said softly. "Sometimes."
"You do?" Y/N asked. She slipped one of her hands into his hair and gently rifled her fingers through the frizzy curls.
The man sank further into her as he hummed a response. "Well, yeah. I mean … there was a time in my life where I didn't even think I'd fall in love, you know? The fact that I found you and I'm married to you is … kinda crazy, no?"
Y/N slid her gaze towards him. His eyes were hooded and fixed on the TV, but his gaze was distant, almost as though he was rifling through memories.
"I guess I just thought that I'd never find true peace with anyone," Chan whispered. "But I found peace in you."
At that, Y/N smiled. She turned her head to the side and pressed a kiss to her husband's hair.
"You didn't think you'd fall in love?" Y/N murmured in question as she smoothed the curls away from Chan's forehead. He shrugged, and Y/N saw reminiscence sparkle in his eyes like a distant star.
"People are weird," Chan said, and Y/N started to laugh at the simplicity of his answer.
"I'm weird," Y/N said.
"Yeah. You are. But you're a good weird … some people are … a bad type of weird," Chan explained. He shuddered suddenly, his face contorting in distaste. "Some people want … the wrong things."
Y/N wrinkled her nose. She knew what he meant all too well.
"I don't think our meeting was that random, though," Chan said slowly. He trailed his finger down the back of Y/N's hand, lost in thought. "I think us meeting the way we did … was … I don't know. Destiny? Like … it was written in the stars or something."
Y/N smiled at that. "Written in the stars?"
"Yeah," Chan nodded. He laughed then, his nose flushing and giving him the appearance of being stuck out in the cold. Y/N squeezed his hand, snuggling herself into him. "I think we were definitely written to meet when we did, and to fall in love, and get married, and to sit here like this … like way before we were born."
Y/N was quiet. And then, "That's deep, bro."
Bursting into peels of laughter, Chan removed his hands. He instead turned to face his wife and he slid his arms around her waist, pulling her into him.
"You started it … bro," Chan chuckled as he planted a kiss upon her cheek. "Don't call me bro. It's baby, to you."
He was grinning so much that his eyes had almost completely disappeared; Y/N felt her heart skip a beat. It was at times like this when Y/N thought her husband couldn't be more beautiful. Chan's beauty bloomed in the core of his heart and soul; it was the type of beauty that wasn't visible as much on the outside, but through his actions, through his words, through the tenderness of his touch, it was more than evident. Y/N couldn't help but feel as though It was the type of beauty that grew slowly on a person, like a planted seed. The roots grew first, unnoticed. The tip of the stem that broke through unassuming soil evoked joy, and as leaves grew, accompanied by flowers, and fruits, the plant's loveliness also grew.
There was so much beauty inside of Chan that it seeped through his skin and spilled out of his pores, like unique flowers. And to Y/N, Chan was the most lovely man she had ever laid eyes on. His loveliness was held in the small imperfections of his bare skin that peppered his jaw like stardust, the freckles that kissed his cheeks like constellations. His smile glowed warmer than the sun, and the happier he was, the smaller his eyes got; Y/N knew it was something he hated about himself. But it was something she loved about him so much that she didn't know what to do with herself.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Chan whispered.
Y/N bit her lower lip. She was faintly aware that she had zoned out again, admiring her husband while he had continued to speak. She had no idea what he had been saying, and she inwardly held herself back from launching herself on top of him like a dead weight as a sudden wave of affection for him threw her off guard.
"If we really were written in the stars … " Y/N's voice wavered as she steepled her fingers against the side of Chan's jaw. "Then remind me to one day thank the one who wrote it."
Chan's eyes widened slowly, marginally. As they did so, his mouth parted; he was at a loss of words - such a short comment had completely robbed him of his breath, and his gaze immediately locked with Y/N's as they lapsed into silence.
It was broken when Chan used his hand to pull his wife towards him; closing the distance between them, Chan sealed his lips over Y/N's in a slow kiss, his breath shuddering against hers.
"There's no, way," Chan gasped in between kisses. "That. We're random. No. Fucking. Way."
Y/N tightened her grip on the man's bare shoulders. Her heart was hammering in her ribcage the way it always did when he kissed her; she felt as though she was floating amongst clouds, yet running a marathon, all whilst being wrapped up in the warmest, softest blanket known to man. It was a feeling that she would never tire of, and as she kissed her husband back who was continuing to whisper his adamancy on them being predestined, Y/N felt perhaps their souls really were connected.
A long while later, Chan covered his face with his fingers. His shyness had begun to creep up inside of him in the form of redness over his neck and chest; Chan had started to laugh all over again, the sudden intensity in the air dissipating as he dropped his head against Y/N's shoulder.
Suddenly clocking the unfamiliar scene on the TV, Chan sat up quickly.
"Hey!" He let out an exclamation of disbelief and humour. "I have to rewind again."
Giggling, Y/N pulled the quilt towards herself..she felt as though her skin was burning, yet she still craved the comfort of the sheets against her skin. "This time it was your fault."
Chan was indignant. "Uh, no? I don't think so?"
"You're the one who kissed me."
"Well, you're the one who started contemplating our marriage," Chan quipped, his lips twitching in amusement. He reached for the remote from his bedside table. "This is the last time I'm rewinding. Only because I have no idea what's happening either."
Y/N grinned. She leaned into her husband and curled her hands around his arm, looking up at him through her lashes.
Chan spluttered. He jabbed at the remote buttons, though he couldn't keep the contagious grin from spreading across his face.
"Pay attention now," Chan huffed as he slid his arm around Y/N. His hand was soft at her side, and the bedsheets rustled as he tangled his legs with hers. "Only you could turn an hour-long episode into a three hour one. The next time I have to rewind, we're doing something else."
Y/N raised her eyebrows. "Oh yeah? What?"
Chan smirked. His firm kiss to her lips was enough of an answer, and Y/N giggled as she squeezed her arms around his torso.

It was as though the more products Y/N applied to her skin, the more her eyes welled up, and her tears spilled down her cheeks, creating rivulets in her layers of serum. She didn't even know why she was crying; perhaps it was a slow build up of tiny things throughout the day that was finally getting to her. It was almost comical … she had woken up feeling happy, and confident in her own skin. But now, as her attempts of rubbing her moisturiser into her skin proved unfruitful, she couldn't help but feel incredibly ugly and uncomfortable in her body, her morning mood seeming far, far away.
Sniffing and trying to stop herself from crying further so she could finish her evening skincare routine, Y/N sighed. She didn't want to look at herself in the mirror; she looked down to the counter, her eyes wide as her body trembled without her even realising. When she went to screw the lid onto her moisturiser, it slipped and went rolling away on the floor, and suddenly very tired, she dropped to the floor in a crouch, a hand covering her face.
Her body shook as tears seeped through her fingers in hot streams, her cries silent and confusing even to her. She felt a strange combination of bewildered and overwhelmed; the more she tried to stop crying, the harder her tears fell, and the only thing Y/N could do was accept her meltdown in the middle of the bathroom floor.
"Baby? Are you coming to bed?" Chan's voice called from their bedroom. When his question was met with silence, the bed rustled as Chan got up and quietly padded over to the bathroom, his signature thin line of a smile painting his face. "Baby girl?"
Chan's eyes widened when his gaze landed on his wife crouched in the middle of the floor. At first he thought she was looking for something; but when he saw the way her shoulders were shaking, he knew that was not the case.
"Oh baby … what's the matter?" Chan kneeled down in front of Y/N and gently placed his hands on her shoulders. "Why are you crying?"
Y/N gasped quietly, her sobs so intense that she was suddenly devoid of air; her chest rose and fell rapidly as she tried to regain her breath, and following her husband's hand gestures, she shut her eyes briefly before inhaling deeply, exhaling when Chan lowered his hands, the man breathing along with her.
He reached out again and gently rubbed her arms. "Hey now. Come here baby … let's go to bed, hmm?"
Y/N shook her head. "I … can't find the lid."
Chan's lips twitched and he couldn't help it when his face broke into an affectionate smile. Leaning forward, Chan kissed Y/N's forehead before pulling her up to her feet. "Come on. Let me get you into bed and then I'll look for the lid."
Sniffing, Y/N nodded. She let her husband pull her back into the bedroom, and she was soon tucked up under the duvet against the soft sheets. She watched through watery eyes as Chan waddled back to the bathroom, and a very short moment later she heard what could only be him screwing the lid of her moisturiser on, before he snapped the light shut and slid into bed beside her.
Wordlessly, Chan held his arms out to her. He folded them tightly around his wife and peppered her head with a multitude of tender kisses as she buried her face into the crook of his neck, her fingers curling against the front of his t-shirt. Tears had begun to spill out of her eyes again, and they soaked into the cotton on her husband's chest.
Chan didn't seem to mind. He hugged her a little tighter, though his touch remained as gentle as ever, his fingers almost kissing the back of her head as he smoothed his hand through his wife's hair.
"It's okay baby," Chan whispered against Y/N's temple. "I've got you. It's all gonna be okay."
Her husband's words were comforting, and yet, they made Y/N cry harder. Her body shuddered against his as Chan continued to murmur soft words to her, his patience endless as she cried her heart out into his chest for what felt like hours.
When Y/N pulled away a long while later, the night had deepened; the shadows had shifted, and they painted her husband's face with angular shapes. His hair was outlined with the silvery kiss of moonlight, and when he smiled at her in reassurance, Y/N couldn't help but wonder again in a disoriented state what on earth she was doing in the bed of an angel when she currently looked like a drunken sloth.
"Okay?" Chan murmured, his thumb caressing away the tear tracks glistening on his wife's cheek. "Did something happen, baby girl?"
Y/N shook her head, exhaling slowly as she shuffled a little closer to him. "I just … feel gross. I don't know."
"Gross?" Chan's forehead creased in perplexity as he furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"I mean … " Y/N shrugged, snorting quietly at her own response. "Gross."
Chan chuckled. He leaned closer and kissed her forehead softly, his hands smoothing over the side of her head. "You're not gross, baby girl."
"Yeah I am," Y/N murmured, eyes wide when Chan searched them with his own. "I feel like the more I stare in the mirror the worse I look."
Chan smiled sadly as he wrapped his arms around her again, looking down at his wife with tenderness in his eyes. "Maybe that's the problem, baby."
Y/N tilted her head to the side in confusion.
"You're not gross … I think because you live with this beautiful face of yours, and you're used to the way it looks, and you over analyse everything whenever you look in the mirror … sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming, you know? I think it's normal to temporarily get sick of what you see at some point … " Chan hummed carefully. "But it doesn't mean you're gross, baby girl. Or ugly. You're very, very beautiful. Just give yourself a bit of time and you’ll soon realise how beautiful you are."
Y/N sniffed at that. "What if I don't?"
"You will," Chan said determinedly, rubbing his wife's shoulders as he hugged her tighter. "Come on … only just this morning you took a bunch of photos because you felt pretty. Don't think I forgot about that."
Starting to giggle, Y/N cast her mind back to the morning; in her attempt to capture the perfect selfie with the sunshine, she had knocked over a full jug of water. It had splashed onto her husband's feet, resulting in the man's socks producing comical squeaking sounds when he walked away.
"Maybe you're right," Y/N hummed with a smile. "I did stare at my face a little too hard afterwards when I was looking through the photos."
"Funny, though," Chan said. "I stare at you all day and I don't get tired."
Chan's quiet laughter echoed in the darkness of their bedroom, and when he cupped Y/N's face, he laughed a little harder.
"You're blushing!" He squealed, his thumbs running over her cheeks. "Aw … did I make my baby all shy? Is my baby embarrassed … ?"
Y/N groaned at the man's baby talk; she mumbled against his chest as she tried to hide from his hands, and when his fingers found their way to her cheeks again, she flushed a little harder.
"I'm just hot," Y/N insisted, covering her face.
"Hmm … I wonder why?" Chan burst into another fit of giggles as he felt her face grow even hotter under his touch. "Shall I turn the light on?"
Y/N immediately grabbed his arms in defiance. "No."
"No?" Chan chuckled. "Why? Something to hide, baby?"
Y/N kicked out at him under the covers.
Yelping at the contact with his chin, Chan's laughter increased as he returned his arms around his wife's waist. He held her tightly, his nose bumping against hers.
"I bet I could make you blush even more," Chan whispered mischievously; Y/N's eyes widened in surprise as he realised what he was saying, and she tried to look away before Chan closed the small distance with his lips.
"Chris … " Y/N half-whined, half-gasped in surprise at the sudden kiss; her husband was laughing against her mouth as he cupped her waist, his hand sliding under the hem of her top.
Breathless, Y/N pulled away. "What are you doing?"
"Making you blush," Chan chuckled, kissing her cheek as he caressed the small of her back with his fingertips. "Is it working?"
Y/N felt as though her cheeks were on fire. All her earlier negative thoughts had long flown out of her head, nothing but her husband's antics clouding her mind. She suddenly realised he was trying to distract her, and she smiled as she nodded against his lips in response.

Y/N was certain she was teetering on the edge of a mental breakdown.
She didn't understand why she felt this way; her husband had only gone out for a few hours. But for some reason, she missed him so much that she felt as though she might die. It was as though the more she missed him, the more her heart increased in size to accommodate her feelings; Y/N was sure in the next few moments her heart would explode like a balloon, leaving her completely empty.
She had tried her best to keep herself preoccupied. She had cleaned the house top to bottom even though it was already clean. She had gone on a long walk, hoping to be distracted. But when the smallest thing reminded her of her husband, she had turned back and headed straight for her home again. She had baked multiple items, tried to binge watch a series, even tried to take a nap to pass the time; but everything she did brought up her husband's smiling face in her mind, and each time she felt as though she was being punched in her gut.
Texting him a few times hadn't particularly helped either. When they stopped sending messages to one another, Y/N felt as though she missed him ten times more than before the messages.
She wondered if perhaps she was going insane.
Maybe this was how psychopaths were made.
The sun had started to set outside, the darkening of the clouds bringing a shower of rain with them. Y/N sighed as she stared out of the window. She watched as the rain drizzled down the glass, feeling more and more pathetic with every passing moment.
She wasn't sure her missing her husband this much was normal. After all … it wasn't as though he'd gone on a week long trip. He was only out for a very small portion of their day; but at the same time, Y/N wished he hadn't left at all. She wanted nothing more than to curl up to him and stick to him like glue for the next week.
She knew he wouldn't mind.
Y/N was replacing her books back onto the bookshelf when she heard the familiar click of the door; eyes widening and simultaneously brimming with tears, she ran towards the front of the house just as the door swung open.
Chan's eyes widened in surprise when he saw his wife hurtle at him like a whirlwind; he immediately dropped the large bag he was holding to the floor and caught his wife as she jumped into his arms. After shutting the door behind him with one hand, Chan slid his arms around Y/N's shoulders and returned her tight embrace without a word.
"I missed you," Y/N whispered into his shoulder, her tears spilling into the collar of his jacket. She squeezed her eyes shut, breathing in the scent of him; he smelled fresh and earthy from the rain. But past that, he smelled the way he always did … warm.
Chan rubbed his hand gently over Y/N's back, his chin against her shoulder. He had no intention in pulling back before she did; the urgency in which she was hugging him made Chan realise just how much she really missed him.
"I missed you too, baby," Chan whispered. He turned his head to the side slightly and gently kissed the woman's cheek before squeezing her shoulders again. "Is everything okay?"
Y/N nodded against him. Before she knew what was happening, Chan had lifted her up and she wrapped her arms around her husband's waist, his hands firm on her thighs as he carried her towards the sofa.
Chan sat down with his wife on top of him, and wordlessly, Y/N curled up on his lap as she hugged him as much as she could.
A while had passed in silence, Chan's fingers gentle against Y/N's back, and Y/N's breathing soft against Chan's chest. All of a sudden Chan started to chuckle, the sound quiet but amused nonetheless; Y/N looked up in bewilderment, a smile of her own spreading across her face when she saw the humour painted in her husband's eyes.
"What's so funny?" Y/N asked him.
Chan shook his head. He reached out and curled his fingers around Y/N's; he unfurled her fists that had been gripping at his t-shirt like a vice, his fingers smoothing over her skin.
"You do know I'm not going anywhere, right?" Chan chuckled and kissed Y/N's red fingers. "I'm all yours. You don't need to grip at me that hard - you're gonna hurt yourself."
Y/N flushed. Now that he had mentioned it … her fingers were throbbing a little too much …
"Oops," Y/N smiled in embarrassment as her
husband pulled her up into a sitting position on his lap, his face inches away from hers.
Chan kissed her forehead. "What's the matter, baby girl? Why'd you miss me so much today, hmm?"
Wrinkling her nose at the smiling man, Y/N shrugged and dropped her head against his shoulder again. "I don't know. I just really, really missed you. I thought I was gonna die from how much I missed you."
Chan peered down at her in mild alarm. "You thought you were going to die? You missed me that bad?"
"Yes," Y/N was sheepish. She cuddled into him further nonetheless, and Chan couldn't help but burst into affectionate giggles as he stroked his fingers through her hair.
"Oh yeah," Chan said suddenly, sitting up. "I actually got you something."
Y/N cocked her head at him. "You did?"
The more she studied him, the more she noted the telltale redness that had begun to creep up on bridge of Chan's nose.
"Yeah … " He gently moved his wife to the side before getting up from the sofa; he padded towards the front where he had left his bag, and retrieving it, he placed it on the kitchen counter before pulling out something crinkly.
Giggling all of a sudden, Chan rubbed the nape of his neck before making his way back to his wife.
Y/N's eyes widened when she realised what he was carrying; a second later she felt her eyes fill with tears as sat down beside her again, his eyes sparkling.
"You got me flowers?" Y/N almost whispered as Chan held the bunch out to her. "Really?"
Chan chuckled, his face now as red as a tomato. "They were pretty. And they reminded me of you … do you like them?"
Taking the flowers from him, Y/N placed them beside her before launching herself into the man's arms again. Chan laughed in surprise as they toppled over onto the sofa seats, and was even more surprised when Y/N began to pepper his flushed face with fluttering kisses.
"I love them," Y/N sniffed, curling her arms around him again in a large hug. "I love you."
"You don't think it's too cheesy?" Chan's voice was muffled from underneath his wife, though there was an unmistakable grin on his lips as he spoke. "They all looked pretty so I just got you a mixture of them."
Y/N giggled; it was so on brand for her husband to get everything for her instead of one thing that he couldn't help but tear up all over again.
"They're perfect," Y/N grinned. "The perfect amount of cheesiness, and the perfect bunch of flowers. Not as perfect as you, but still … "
It was Chan's turn to lose his mind; he flushed even harder and muffled a mild squeal as he buried his face into his wife's chest.
"I love you," Chan hummed, tackling his wife into another hug. "If this is the response I get everytime I get you flowers, I'm gonna have to set up some sort of flower subscription service."
"Why?" Y/N laughed.
Chan shrugged. "Because then you'd get your flowers, and I'd get my cuddles. Perfect, right?"
Snorting with more laughter, Y/N squeezed her husband tightly. "I cuddle you almost every second of the day and you still want more? You do know that's pretty much impossible, right?"
"Hey, nothing's impossible," Chan chuckled as he wrapped his limbs around her like a koala. He kissed her cheek. "Do you really like them that much? You've never said you liked flowers before."
Y/N smiled. "It's not really just the flowers themselves. I mean … they're pretty and they look nice in the kitchen … but it's the fact that you actually thought about me while you were out and bought them for me, you know?
"I always think about you," Chan laughed nervously at that as he cuddled up further into his wife's side. "Even when you think I'm not thinking about you … I'm definitely thinking about you."
"Really? Is that why I miss you so much? You know, since us being married means we're pretty much telepathically connected," Y/N joked. "Christopher Bahng, were you the reason I almost died today?"
Bursting into outraged laughter, Chan nuzzled his face against Y/N's neck. "No. Maybe I was thinking about you because you were missing me. Y/N Bahng, were you the reason why I suddenly thought of buying you flowers?"
Delirious from their own niche humour, Chan and Y/N exploded into a fit of giggles. They were wriggling around the sofa like strange animals, and Y/N almost knocked the flowers off of the sofa as she tried to escape her husband's clingy grip.
"I'm going to put these in water," Y/N giggled as she slid away from Chan's hands. "Gosh. Don't be the reason these flowers nearly die too."

"Are you excited?" Y/N smiled in the mirror as her husband looked around for something to wear. There was a small smile on Chan's lips, and his fingers fluttered around like delicate butterfly wings at his sides; when he looked up at his wife, he grinned, and his eyes sparkled like glitter.
"Yeah," Chan nodded, his fingers curling into fists as he shook them with joy. "I am."
It was late, almost two in the morning; usually, the couple would be either tucked up in bed with their arms around each other as they slept, or as they binged a show together. But not tonight. Tonight was the peak of the best meteor shower of the year - the Perseid shower. Being avid lovers of the sky and the stars, neither husband nor wife wanted to miss seeing the shooting stars
Even if the timing was incredibly peculiar.
Chan was rambling again; in Y/N's opinion his eyes were brighter than any star in the night sky when he was talking about the things he loved.
" - I mean, just imagine it … up to a hundred shooting stars per hour? That's so many! They'd be brighter in Europe though ... "
Y/N smiled as she slid a thick jumper over her head. "You're so cute."
Chan flushed. "Am not."
He crossed the room, picking up a hoodie. He shrugged it over his body just as a loud rumble cut through the short silence.
Chan's cheeks turned pink again and he covered his stomach with his hands.
"Alright, let's go," Y/N laughed. "The quicker we get there the quicker we can get some food."
"I'm fine," Chan said nonchalantly. "I don't know what gave you the impression that I'm hungry, but I'm completely fine."
Y/N kissed his cheek before slipping her hand into his and pulling him from the room. "Oh? Maybe we should skip getting food then."
Chan panicked. "I think I might get hungry on the way."
Giggling, Y/N shook her head. They traipsed into the kitchen together and Y/N collected the medium sized bag she had shoved snacks and a flask amongst a few other things for later into.
"I'm actually starving," Y/N said to her husband. "I don't know why but night-time always makes me so hungry."
"Me too!" Chan groaned. He grabbed his cap from the arm of the sofa and slid it onto his head as an afterthought before sliding his key into the front door.
It was chillier than anticipated, and Y/N immediately stepped back into the house upon being slapped in the face by a gust of wind. She grabbed the nearest pair of jackets she could find before heading back outside again, tossing the clothing into the back seats of the car before sliding into the passenger's seat. Chan shut the door behind her before sitting in front of the wheel, and he rubbed his hands together as a breeze washed over him.
"Ooh," Chan shivered, jabbing at the button for the heated seats. "Why do these exciting things always happen in the peak of winter?"
"Well, if we were in any other country it'd be nice and hot right now," Y/N's teeth chattered and she sank back into the seat. The heat from behind her seeped into the fabric of her hoodie quicker than she thought it would and she shivered again, this time from the warmth that flooded over her cold skin. "Personally I think it's more fun this way. And hey … if it gets too cold we can always come and sit back in here."
Chan stuck his tongue out as he reversed out of his parking spot. "I don't wanna look at the stars through a window."
"Then stick your head out. Like a dog," Y/N giggled, and Chan couldn't help but roll his eyes in an affectionate manner as he reached out to playfully rest a hand on his wife's knee, his other hand on the wheel.
It soon warmed up in the car, and combined with the gentle hum of the radio in the background, Y/N was beginning to feel drowsy. They were headed away from the city and towards the countryside where the skies would be much clearer; the longer drive meant that Y/N could no longer keep her eyes open after a while, and Chan started to chuckle when he saw her forcefully keeping her eyes open.
"Go to sleep baby," Chan crooned. He reached out and gently stroked his fingers through his wife's hair, his skin warm and comforting against her neck. "I'll wake you up when we're near."
"Mmm … " Y/N shifted in her seat, leaning her head against the side of the car. "Wake me up if you get bored."
Chan grinned. He took her hand and gently kissed the back of it before Y/N fell asleep.
It wasn't too long later when Chan turned the car around. He pulled into a twenty four hour drive through and joined the short queue of cars who were all waiting.
He couldn't help but smile. He wondered with a mild curiosity what all these other people were doing at nearly three in the morning.
"Baby," Chan hummed. He used his fingers to sweep Y/N's hair behind her ear and she stirred, her head falling against his hand. "Wake up, baby girl. You hungry?"
Y/N immediately opened her eyes. "Maybe."
Chan started to laugh as he rolled the car forward slowly. "Nice dream?"
"I don't remember," Y/N yawned. She stretched her arms and in doing so, she playfully slapped her husband on the back of his head, making the man's eyes almost pop out of their sockets.
"Okay, you know what, Y/N Bahng," Chan said, side eyeing his wife. "No funny business. You always do something stupid when we're in drive-throughs."
Y/N started to giggle. "I can't help it. It's funny."
"It's not funny for me," Chan whined. "You better not."
"Okay, I won't," Y/N agreed.
Chan raised an eyebrow. He stuck his pinky finger out.
"I promise," Y/N grinned, locking her finger through his.
Chan wagged his finger at her. "I'm warning you."
"Oh, you are, are you?" Y/N laughed. She darted her hand out and closed her fingers around his, making the man giggle beside her as he moved the car forward again.
"What are you having?" Y/N asked.
"What do you think I'm having?" Chan grinned as he rested an arm on the window ledge. "Do I look like a nugget man to you?"
Y/N squinted at him. "You're kinda small and petite like a nugget."
Pressing his tongue up against the side of his cheek, Chan inhaled slowly. He drove forward and leaned to the open window, glaring at his wife in warning.
Y/N smiled back at him innocently. She resisted the urge to slip her hand under the hem of his hoodie as he placed their order, the same as always.
"That was a first," Chan chuckled when he drove away from the speaker. "You didn't do anything weird."
"I promised," Y/N rolled her eyes. "You should know, I really wanted to tickle the crap out of you though."
Snorting with laughter, Chan drove to the next window. "You're a strange, strange woman. You get a kick out of the weirdest shit."
The woman in the window stared at him. It took Chan a short moment to realise he had been looking at her while he was speaking to his wife, and his eyes widened in embarrassment.
"Oh my God … I didn't mean you! I was talking to my wife," Chan laughed uneasily as he handed the coins over to the cashier. "Sorry about that."
From beside him, Y/N erupted into a fit of giggles.
"That was your fault," Y/N snickered when he started to drive again. "I think you're just doomed to make a fool of yourself in drive-throughs."
"Stop enjoying this so much," Chan grumbled, tapping his hands against the steering wheel. "Just wait until you embarrass yourself."
Leaning over, Y/N kissed her husband on his cheek. The man immediately turned pink and he sagged against his seat, completely flustered.
"You were saying?" Y/N grinned mischievously, satisfied with his reaction.
Chan slapped a hand over his face, dragging his cheeks down with fingers. "I wasn't saying anything."
A short moment later he reached an arm out of the car to retrieve a large paper bag and a cup holder; he handed them to Y/N who immediately slipped the hot drinks into the cup holders between them. She tossed the card holder to the back of the car before rifling through the bag for the chips as Chan began to roll out of the drive-through.
"Here," Y/N held out a few of the chips to her husband. "They're hot."
"Fuck that, I'm hungry," Chan moved his head and clamped his mouth around the chips. He licked his wife's fingers in the process and Y/N yelped, jumping in her seat.
Chan smirked around his mouthful of food.
"Slimy bastard," Y/N muttered, making Chan choke with laughter; cracking the lid off of a water bottle, Y/N reached over and clumsily poured it into the man's mouth.
It was Y/N's turn to giggle; the water soaked through the front of Chan's hoodie and the man resisted the urge to shut his eyes in exasperation while driving.
"You did that on purpose."
"Did not."
"You did."
"Didn't," Y/N insisted. She dug into the bag for more chips, holding them out to him as consolation.
Smiling, Chan lowered his head again. He also licked her fingers again, Y/N groaning as he burst into another round of amused laughter.
"Stop licking me," Y/N moaned, wiping her fingers on her sweats before pulling out more chips.
"You're the one who told me to act like a dog," Chan shrugged.
"Not like that," Y/N huffed. "And I did not."
"Yeah, you did."
"I didn't! I said hang your head out the window."
"Yeah, like a dog."
"Like a dog. Not be a dog."
Chan's lips twitched in defeat. Y/N giggled.
"Say it," Y/N provoked her husband.
Chan sighed, though the gleam in his eyes spoke of something far from annoyance. "Say what?"
"I win," Y/N grinned.
"No," Chan laughed quietly. "I'm not saying that."
"Say. It," Y/N repeated, leaning closer to him.
Chan gulped. He tried to keep his calm as he steered the car down a narrow road, but it was increasingly difficult to do so when he could feel the intensity of his wife's stare on his flushed cheek.
"Fine. You win," Chan grumbled, and Y/N cheered in satisfaction, slumping back into her seat. Chan shook his head, the fondest of smiles painting his lips as he cleared his throat.
Once Chan had parked the car, Y/N tossed Chan his jacket and put her own on before the husband and wife made their way up a small hill. Chan's arms were closed around the bag Y/N had brought and the food, their burgers still uneaten; Y/N was trying to grab at the things as he manoeuvred himself away from her with a grin.
"At least give me the food," Y/N whined, running around him. "You always carry everything!"
"What kind of a husband would I be if I didn't?" Chan countered, turning around again to make sure Y/N couldn't take the bags.
"Just let me help," Y/N reached her arms out; they ended up sliding right around Chan's waist, her forehead bumping against his back and making them both burst into frenzied laughter.
"Come on," Chan handed her the food; it was mostly to free his left hand which he slipped into Y/N's, tangling their fingers together. "The food's getting cold."
They were soon sat atop the hill; Y/N had brought a waterproof blanket with her, knowing the winter air would mean the grass would be wet. And she was correct - she was immensely satisfied when they were sitting on the blanket, completely dry.
"For you, madam," Chan held out a small square box to his wife with a smile. "Good thing we bought extra chips, aye? I ate most of them in the car."
"You always eat them in the car," Y/N giggled. They had already finished their hot drinks; Chan and Y/N tucked into their burgers, their shoulders brushing each other's with their movements.
"Still warm," Chan groaned in satisfaction. "Did you bring a drink?"
Putting her burger down in its box, Y/N grabbed the back and pulled out the large flask. She opened it and the chocolatey steam immediately wafted over Chan's face.
"You angel," Chan grinned happily as he watched his wife pour the hot chocolate into a cup. They tapped their paper cups together and giggled as they took sips of the beverage, the heat immediately flooding through them and thawing the cold that had begun to creep up on them both.
It was a cosy, peaceful atmosphere despite the chilly weather; completely ravenous, the couple finished their food in silence, their eyes wandering around the starry sky. They were both lost in thought as they ate, and when they finished, they shuffled closer together.
"Are we even facing the right way?" Chan suddenly asked with a laugh as he turned his head around.
"I think so?" Y/N tilted her head. "I mean … wait, I'll check."
Whipping her phone out of her pocket, Y/N opened one of her favourite apps. Chan leaned closer to her and peered at the screen as she moved the phone, calibrating the application's inbuilt compass.
"Well, there's Aries," Y/N said, holding her phone upright and pointing right in front of her at the four stars. She shifted position a little towards the left. "So there's … "
"Perseus!" Chan said excitedly. "We are facing the right way."
He suddenly giggled, pointing to a tiny cluster above their heads. "Andromeda looks mighty fine tonight."
Bursting into peals of laughter, Y/N stared at her husband. "Are you flirting with a galaxy? Right in front of my … non-existent burger?"
She waved her paper box in front of him, and Chan started to laugh as he looked down at her with stars in his eyes. "What if I am?"
Y/N sighed, looking up at the galaxy. "I wouldn't blame you."
Chan leaned forward and kissed his wife on her forehead. "Andromeda's got nothing on you, baby."
Y/N pretended to gag despite the blush that creeped up her cheekbones. "How much cheese was in your burger?"
Chuckling, Chan slid his arms around her. His response was a kiss on her mouth before he turned away again, his eyes sparkling.
They lapsed into a gentle silence again, the both of them too caught up in the beauty of the sky. The city was a string of blurred lights in the distance, the glow from the buildings weak and unable to cast their usual tinge on the surroundings. Everywhere was dark, almost pitch black, and Y/N quickly realised she might have felt a little scared if she was here all alone. Chan's presence beside her was warm and comforting; being beside him, she felt as though she'd never have a reason to fear anything.
Y/N turned her head slightly. Chan's face was tilted up towards the sky, his curls rustling around his forehead in the wind. He had left his cap in the car, and Y/N could see the glow of his face clearly under the starlight. She leaned forward, her cheek against her knees as she watched him with a smile on her face. There was a tiny, wistful smile on her husband's mouth, and the look in his eyes was distant.
"What are you thinking about?" Y/N asked softly.
Chan smiled. He leaned back on his hands, shutting his eyes.
"That I'm lucky," Chan hummed. "I mean, who else would come out with me at three in the morning in the middle of winter to watch the stars?"
Y/N laughed under her breath at that. She reached her hand out and slipped her fingers into his.
Chan squeezed her hand as he turned to look at her. "I just … you know I loved being an idol, right?"
Y/N nodded.
"There were things about it that I would never have been able to experience without being who I was back then," Chan said slowly, looking up towards the sky again. "I used to think back then that there wasn't anything I'd ever trade for some of those experiences."
He shrugged, laughing suddenly. "Now I … I don't know. Now I think that maybe I'd have traded all those memories if it meant I could be here with you. Watching the stars. Stupid, right?"
Y/N watched him carefully. There was a vulnerability to her husband's face that made her heart suddenly melt in her ribcage; she could almost feel it seep through the bones and flood through the rest of her body the longer she stared into his eyes. It suddenly felt like they were the only two people to exist, the time and the stars and the world stopping as she exhaled slowly.
"Being famous and making music and touring the world was incredible, don't get me wrong," Chan continued in a soft voice before she could reply. "But … I still felt kinda … empty? Lonely? I always felt like something was missing even when I was at my happiest."
Y/N ran her thumb over the back of his hand. "And now?"
Chan smiled. He dropped his head against her shoulder, warmth from his cheek seeping through the material of Y/N's jacket.
"I haven't felt empty in a long time," Chan whispered, squeezing her hand again. "Not when I get to spend my life with you."
Y/N was suddenly very glad his head was against her shoulder and he couldn't see her; she didn't want him to see the tears rolling down her cheeks in the dark.
She hastily wiped her face, before smoothing her hand over her husband's hair. "You're so sappy, Bahng. Snap out of it."
The man's body shook with silent mirth against her. He was going to speak when he suddenly gasped.
He suddenly slapped Y/N's thigh in an attempt to get her attention. "Look!"
Y/N turned her gaze to the direction in which his fingers were pointing; she waited for a second before a tiny flicker of light zapped across the sky, accompanied by another, and another, the shooting stars following each other like tadpoles.
"Woah," Y/N breathed; she couldn't help but sag with a bit of relief. It'd have been slightly disappointing if for some strange reason they'd have missed the meteor shower.
She looked down at her husband, smoothing his hair away from his forehead. "Are you happy, baby?"
Chan nodded energetically, his hair rustling loudly against her shoulder. "Very, very happy. This is … the best. Words cannot explain - "
"Don't hurt yourself," Y/N joked, her husband struggling to get his words out with excitement.
Chan sat up again and grinned at her. "Baby?"
Y/N smiled. "Yeah?"
"I've always wanted to do this," Chan whispered with a tiny giggle. He suddenly cupped her face in both of his hands and leaned forward, closing his lips over hers. His eyelashes brushed against her cheeks as Y/N kissed him back, a smile spreading across her mouth as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Above them, the small stars continued to shoot across the sky, leaving silvery trails of magic in their wake.
