The Soul Races of The Trailokya Trilogy: Hyadeans

So far we’ve talked about the duta races of The Trailokya Trilogy, as well as humans and danava. Then, we moved onto the races with whom humanity shares their universe (Samsara). First up was the Cetians, then the Ikyls and Oreiades and Boarwellum. What interesting race do I have in store for you this time?

Hyadeans. A soul race, humanoid in build, with bullheads like a minotaur. Hyades. The home planet of the Hyadeans.

The Hyadeans will look familiar to many students of mythology. Their thick trunks and limbs support a bovine-like head, complete with horns in the adults and teens. Despite the mythology of such creatures suggesting they are violent, Hyadeans are relatively peaceful. Their temperaments are are well-balanced. The attributes of the Zodiac Taurus further describe these unique beings.

The myth of the Minotaur was spawned from the remaining member of an exploration party from Hyades.  Driven to the brink of insanity through mistreatment by the humans of Crete, this poor creature eventually succumbed. The Minotaur was not born on Earth, like the myth attempts to describe through a rather perverse tail of lust. The presence of the Minotaur myth on Earth suggests that their technology was well advanced several centuries ago. One would need to access the Akashic record to understand that the matter is more complicated than that. Curses and sex aside, the presence of such a being from an outer world in ancient Greece would naturally give rise to fantastic tales shared through human populations. A great event would see these tales spread over wider swaths of various cultures. Instead, the bovine headed man is largely isolated to the Greek Island of Crete and Egypt.

Not to be out done by Ovid, Dante included a run in with the Hyadean in his work. However, what Dante was attempting to describe was a Shedu, or fallen Hyadean. He took it for fact that the Minotaur was violent and deserving of punishment. He went so far as to bastardize the appearance for additional effect. The Shedu retain quite similar forms to the Hyadean, but suffer a loss of all body hair and some disfigurement.

Hyadeans

The Hyades in the constellation Taurus, like the Pleiades and Vega, are said to have been the destination of yet another group of refugees from the ancient Lyran wars.
