Jervis thoughts.
He's troubled, deeply so, by his own delusions. He knows It's not real but it's oh, so hard not to give in to the fantasy and have a life he wants instead of what he has.
Why be in Arkham when you can have tea? Why watch this poor woman cry when you can just dance with her instead?
This man surely LOVES his rose-tinted glasses, but they're not even tinted. It's just solid pink, to the point where you can't see anything else.

Mr. Tetch here has always had a hard time being taken seriously. He's awkward and sometimes can't quite get his point across regardless of how well-made it is. Even before becoming a member of the rogues gallery, this was still true. In the field of science his attempts at explaining himself fell flat most of the time, and even those who got him tended to see his theories as a little far-fetched.
Maybe, perhaps, being a criminal would earn him some kind of respect? Honor among thieves, right? No, not exactly. Things just can't be fair for poor Jervis.
Despite his best efforts, he's still overlooked by his fellow rogues. Left out of plans, barely considered.. even then, he's usually only thought of when his technology is of use. Jervis knows this, and he wishes he didn't.

I'm of the somewhat firm belief that BTAS Jervis has schizotypal personality disorder. My proof? Uh. My gut says so. Okay, well, it's not a solid "theory" but like.. come on please let me have this okay.
I can easily imagine him not being so much delusional as just VERY set in his "ideas of reference". Aka, an example COULD be his extreme insistence on the fact the Alice is "his" Alice. I could even say this extends to a more solid idea of reference that wonderland is both real and its inhabitants are too (and also that Alice is one of them).
To be honest this isn't a theory (I have some of those too) it's just a headcanon that I have become I'm schizotypal, and I project onto jervis alot since we have similar disorders and interests and etc.
