Look. I know the real reason the Shifting Gymnasion Agonon has Hades and Hythlodaeus mammets is because the devs knew players would grind like hell for them. The in-game excuse for them is flimsy at best.

But I love the flimsy in-game excuse and will die on the hill that it is 100% no-take backs canon.

Someone in Amaurot really did sit down and think: you know what would be a nice toy for pets who pass their hunt training? Cute dolls of Emet-Selch and the Chief Architect. They can pretend they are battling with Azem’s real companions at their side, how adorable.

And since the mammets ARE concepts, Hythlodaeus would have had to approve them for production. Think about that. He made sure he was pretty. He made sure “Aidoneus” had absolutely insane eyebrows. He wanted to see this in the world. What a guy.
