can we get a part two plea— no.
I made a thing
The girls on the team wanted to get their nails ready for the wakeboarding world championships, I asked them to bring my feet along to the salon. The result is awesome.
Ha bye I'm killing myself
September is too far away. I want to move to university now.
Universities for you??
I'm getting so frustrated at the opinion that people should go to uni as it often is relatively easier for those in the UK to do so in comparison to some other countries. I understand how it's very difficult if you can't pay the tuition fees to go to uni, however it's not right to say that us 'Brits' automatically should aim to go, and if we don't society either deems it as deviant or some other insulting thing. Yes we do get student finance which helps to pay for tuition and some living costs, however a) it is not a free hand out! we have to pay this back, b) it's is often not enough to live on unless you have family to fund you or a job, c) there are rules that if you don't complete the year/course you would need to pay it back, d) this fund is being cut drastically so many of the less affluent families may not be able to go, e) UK uni fees are one of the highest in the world, f) those who don't go to uni can still get a amazing job and achieve/process on the career ladder, g) not all 'smart' people should automatically go to uni, they may have other preferences or factors including this decision, h) it's a stressful process!!! I) and like I previously stated its not a handout, since most of the students end up with at least 30K to 40+K in debt even before finding work/ finishing their degree. No one should feel bad or pressured to go, I certainly felt pushed to go. My drives came from all sorts of people surrounding me, including family, teachers, peer pressure and just general media. With retrospect, I wonder if uni was the right choice as its caused so much unnecessary stress. However I personally felt the situation I was in was trapping me within a never ending vortex, and therefore I was unable to progress as a person. The jump from A-Levels to a degree is also different, and also as I moved away the situation was too. It's important to consider if drastic changes are OK for you at that moment in life, since Uni will always wait for you. There's nothing worse then stressing out about the whole process and then hating every minute of it. So basically those who don't attend uni aren't delinquents, many successful people never achieved a degree (just consider many of the entrepreneurial millionaires). It's important to consider what is right for you, by weighing up the pros and cons. Deferring a year or waiting to go later is also fine and people just need to learn to accept that we aren't robots designated to simple follow the norm. It's also ok to try it and should you decide it's not for you to drop out, as like I've previously said, Uni will wait.
Also it doesn't matter what course you choose, if you personally feel that you enjoy it. Some may argue that fine art may be a less academic subject or even acting in comparison to medicine or engineering however they both are degree subjects requiring intensive studying and practice. Both are aimed to refine your own skills so eventually it can be applied to the general working world.
Therefore it is important to not feel pressure or pressure someone to do a ‘academic’ subject as the important thing is, we are learning to better our abilities and enjoy the process too.
