Did you know that writing goes much faster if you start out with something called a “””rough draft,””” in which you write the story very badly?  Then you go back through and make it palatable with “””revisions.”””  This process has two steps, which I hate, but somehow, puzzlingly, it is still faster than making the final product from scratch.
