i think the NHL needs to be able to fine refs for things. Missed calls, incorrect calls, blowing a play dead too early or too late. You know, all stuff that happened to the Sabres tonight.

The way nbcsn praises the playoff refs for not making calls they would make during the regular season because 'the players don't want that'......those are illegal plays for a REASON. Because people get HURT.
I think the amount of players taking offense when a ref doesn't call something is proof of its own, though.
