In which Beth and Rio are back on their fake dating bullshit join the Vandenberg sisters for dinner.

“Darlin’,” Rio says, speaking to her apparently. “Don’t forget I still got your raspberries in my pocket.”

Unwittingly, Beth finds herself looking at him again, as button by button he parts his coat and reveals more of a maroon sweater.

She was right -- cashmere, in maroon.

Beth clears her throat, and she needs something to do with her hands so she tucks her hair behind her ear. Rio grins, annoyingly attractive and, as always, too aware of it. Beth purses her lips, glaring at him cooly, as he takes her coat to hang up with his. Never one to waste opportunity, he trails his eyes up and down her frame again, lingering at the curve of her hips, the bow cinching at her waist and, of course, her cleavage.

It shouldn’t feel as good as it does.
