I do think one of the weirder things about social media prevalence is how many people I've heard from that say they can't get rid of their Instagram pages because they need it for online dating or people who've told me they kept getting turned down for dates because they didn't have some amount of social media presence - even when they didn't meet said person on a dating app/online.

To be clear, not judging the people who told me that. I'm judging the social ecosystem that decided a space designed to scrape data and sell ads is a proxy for whether a person is trustworthy enough to go in a date with.

So, I just figured out one of my Types when it comes to half of a pairing I like.

I'm really a big fan of the Loner who is a Loner because of their situation (whether put there by something or their own perceived notion that they should be) but doesn't really want to be but has Accepted It... until the other half of the pairing comes along.

Like, seven of my pairings from past games (five from Navona's games, two from Armony's) are like this.

Two of these relationships also have the subtrope of "is percieved as a playboy but doesn't want everything to be casual." But they tend to attract people who are also looking for something casual, which doesn't work when their looking for one of their relationships to be more than that. AND THEN, ENTER OTHER PART OF PAIRING.

So often they're adorable and I just wanna flail because I cannot hold in all of my emotions.
