New job and I have dental and vision insurance again! I am ridiculously excited to get my teeth cleaned and new glasses! WHOO!!
Happy Pride!
of all Riccardo Estli's compositions, I think his "Katya's Waltz" from the Goncharov score is one of his most beautiful
OH YOU SNEAKY—
The way I was like “oh that’s a pretty composition what’s the joke?” And didn’t even recognise it
Pope joining a cult was not on my bingo card. But it does make sense.
Can costume designers please decide what the weather is? Got a guy in flannel and denim layers alongside girls in bikinis.
It occurs to me that there are people who weren’t on this website in 2012 and therefore never saw the magical gif that you can actually hear:
It’s been over five years and that still impresses the hell out of me.
My cultivated tumblr feed just showed me a post from a blog I apparently follow but don't recognize that was thought provoking and I liked, and then like 3 posts down was another post from that blog that made me want to unfollow it.
The duality of man, or whatever.
I have a question about libraries. A friend of mine just started going to a gym next to a library. If he were to go in and check out a bunch of books and then immediately return them every time, would that count as engagement? He is willing to do this if so.
your life is not an optimization problem
as in you'll never achieve the perfect daily routine, sleep schedule, coping mechanisms, mannerisms, fashion sense etc. even after years and years of healing and improvement and self-discovery. you will never be so good at life that you manage to utilize every waking moment. its great to be productive and all but sometimes you'll suck ass. sometimes you'll take eight hours to be done with a twenty minute job. you'll prioritize the wrong thing. you'll sleep for 12 hrs just to avoid being awake. you'll relapse. and you'll relapse again. you'll forget to turn in the assignment. you'll order too little food. life is far too large and complex for you to even experience it completely, much less try to make sense of and control it. you can't. please give up on that and be at peace with the hours you lose. they are not separate from your life.
I normally don't follow cooking instructions on frozen things, just toss it in the oven and rely on vibes. But I PREHEAT the oven and SET A TIMER for this deep dish pizza and guess what?
It's still doughy in the middle.
Oh. Oh no. Oh shit. Fuck.
I absolutely understand these girls. I will fucking kill for you. And my abusive ex will never see it coming..
Ok I like my new job. All my co-workers are so nice. I just gotta figure out how to lower my standard of responsibility and cleaning.
if you're a woman and you don't eat when you're hungry then it's like eve sinned for nothing
Even when you're not hungry. You deserve a tasty snack.
My doctor is changing my trazodone, that she prescribed 6 weeks ago, to amitryptlyn, a thing I have never heard of before. It's taking Walmart 5 days to fill this prescription, should I be worried?
Maybe my depression is just cabin fever. I've lived in this studio apartment for 5 1/2 years. I'm 43 years old and this is the longest I've ever been in one place as an adult. Before this I was squatting/couch surfing and then getting help from family for a couple years. I wish I had the energy to do anything.
Just watched the finale. Haven't seen anyone mention that we got a McKlusky cameo!
Also, for as much as was crammed into the episode, it didn't feel rushed.
I'm not gonna even opine about plot points, it's been done to death.
But Athena's detective fit? SLAY.
